I don't like writing bad reviews but feel I have to in this case. I traveled with my 14 year old son, who handled the disappointment of this hotel well. There was a family with 2 young kids there and I felt badly for them. The "theme park" was a nightmare. Not only was there no theme, but the animals were in disrepair and only 1 pool was open. There were many areas that were dangerously slippery if you walked up them. Also areas where there were pieces of metal and other scraps laying around. The pool looked murky and unclean. There was no food available there, and the location is a $15 cab ride each way from restaurants. There were no shows put on/no entertainment. The rooms were very basic and smelled of mildew as there are no windows on most rooms, only screens. Some rooms doors didn't lock. I am familiar with 3 of the rooms as we had to move 3 times in our 6 day stay. If you are looking for a "family friendly" place, this is NOT IT!! No swimming, no food no way! Please close your hotel and do the needed repairs and updates before you have families come from across the world to stay only to ruin...
Read moreThis is a great CHEAP option for Roatan Island.
When looking for accommodation, we found most places to be minimum $60 a night, so at approx $30 a night (4 people), it's a steal. Rooms were clean with air con. The site area is in a bit of a revamp mode, so a bit of building work was going on by the pool. Set in the jungle, it's a cool location! Look out for the local wildlife!
2 things to be aware of... this is the budget option on the island , so don't expect thrills...expect a budget!
Location... local taxis will charge $20 each way to go to West End and even more to West Bay! However, the manager (Jose) was willing to take us and pick up for $5 each way in his car, so make sure you ask him. This made the lication worth it. If you used the local taxis, it would probably not be!! Other options hire a car but not sure of the...
Read moreJan. 2025 praise report! Our Bay Island ministry rented the magical, beautiful Lenca World Resort for a six-day special event enjoying every amenity except the bungalows. Adobe-inspired rock walls and large elevated picnic area overlooked two sparkling pools and connecting slide. We loved the two large activity areas: open patio with 3D European mural canvasses; Pavilion had tables/chairs/ big screen TV. The Lego-like entrance is exciting with a big bright yellow arch and then a 1/4 mile mysterious road into the deep jungle. Can't wait to return again and again to see the two enormous macaw sculptures...
