I just returned from a two-day stay at this property. There were some good and bad points|1) they arranged for someone to pick me up. The company they hired had a very clean car, and they were able to provide a credit card receipt|2) Upon arrival at 2:42 p.m., Reservations Manager Michelle told me that check-in was at 3, and I said that was fine and sat at the restaurant to eat.|The club sandwich was great, and the attention was good. It did take a bit of time to get the food, but I was not in a hurry.|3) two of the tables are sort of broken, but no one seemed to care that they needed to be repaired. They were just unstable.|4) I checked into my room, and right away, I noticed that the lighting was very dim even if you have all the lights turned on|5) the AC - is set to a specific temperature that cannot be changed|6) After a while, I tried to take a shower, but the water was cold. There was no hot water coming out of the shower. |7) I went downstairs to grab a Coke but waited nearly 20 minutes for the elevator to get to my floor. After I went to grab the Coke - the elevators were not working, so had to wait a while for them to get fixed|8) Before going to bed, after I was getting ready to close the drapes, I noticed that the carpet near the window was buckling - so that needs to be stretched |9) In the morning, there was another cold shower. I reported this to the reception and told them to fix it or that I would likely change rooms in the afternoon.|10) Had a good dinner there at the restaurant with a colleague|11)Breakfast is served promptly at 6:30. It was good|12) I returned tired from a day at work and inquired about my shower. They said it was fixed. I requested a taxi for my return home on Friday, and they said they would take care of it.|13) Later at night, I asked if my transportation was confirmed. The hotel manager chased me down to tell me that sometimes they are unreliable and that he could offer comparable arrangements with another company for $10.00 less, but in cash only. I told him to do both and see what I was able to get at 7:30 a.m.|14) Back to the room - still not hot water, maybe tepid or less cold! |15) When the car came to pick me up yesterday, it was $10.00 cheaper. The guy had no a/c, and the car looked all beat up. I would certainly not recommend it to a guest if I were the hotel manager. The driver was nice - he called himself an Uber, which he was not, and did not provide a receipt.||I hope there is enough material here for future travelers to be aware of||It is on the main highway, so it is easier to get around—so the location is okay for that purpose. However, I still think the hotel needs to be updated, and the water heater needs to be fixed! The beds and pillows are comfortable and the rooms are spacious Actually a great works space is available...
Read moreThis place looks pretty when you come in but the staff is rude specially the lady in front desk working today on Wednesday 06-05-24 very hostile I believe her name is tracy. I speak Spanish and English so I understood perfectly what they were saying. The second night after we came from a tired day the AC was broke at 9pm and I was desperate with my family with temperature reaching 98 degrees. I kept asking when it will be fix and they didn’t have an answer. I had to wake up at 6am for a trip when I came back at 10am the AC was fix. I spoke with the front desk because still the manager haven’t show up to deal with the problem . Finally they gave me a free night but couldn’t give me a night credit for my horrible nigh that I was not able to sleep with my entire family.I came 4 days after and the same lady help us at the front desk and she said that their was no Room available and we told her are you sure the hotel didn’t see that full. When another person told us if we need help we show the free night coupon and she said to give her a second . She came back and told us there was no problem and we rent another extra night so we didn’t have the problem to change hotels. Then when I paid the second night I ask why did she told us that their was no no room available and that she lied to us when we have kids in the car waiting? And she reply she mis understood and that she didn’t have single beds when I told her specifically it was my family of 4 the same as the other night that we stay. I don’t recommend this hotel to nobody . It needs more presence with a manager on shift that just single employees taking decisions upon them self. I am a Director for Hospitality and I know how important Guest services are and leadership with the right management skills to run a place like this how is supposed too. This place doesn’t have anything like that and would not recommend any guest that wants a good experience to stay here. Next time I am renting in the intercontinental in front of Multiplaza that has way more guest service and respect for the costumers paying for service. Next day Elavator broken and can you believe the bathroom has...
Read moreUpon arriving to our room the AC was not working and the bed sheets were dirty/stained. So we were moved to a different room/floor, this is not such a big issue as it's understandable that things like this can happen. We had issues with the shower especially at night time the water would only come out scalding hot. Also, occasionally the toilet and sink water would come out a brownish/yellowish color. Other than that everything else worked, the hotel was clean and quiet despite exterior remodeling going on. The major issue was customer service, or the lack thereof, the front desk was mediocre and unremarkable. There were multiple incidents with one security guard that treated us disrespectfully, rudely and discourteously. This was reported to the front desk and we never heard back from them, not an apology or explanation of his offensive behavior. I personally felt targeted and even unsafe. Needless to say we won't be coming back to LQ Tegucigalpa, it's a shame because we are long time customers pre-covid we would stay months at a time wheneverwe visited Honduras.||The one bright spot was Cristian at the restaurant, in our 20 day stay he was the only one who greeted us cheerfully everytime and took the time to get to know us and even learn what we liked and our orders. He made our stay a bit more pleasant. So thank...
