Hotel Mayer — Hotel in Balatonfüredi járás

We have been to this great little gem in Alsoors for two times now and enjoyed a stunning time there. We are a party of 7 guys and Szandra is our stay of choice when we visit Lake Balaton to spend some fun time there. The rooms have everything they need to offer and are kept to a high standard. Facilities include a nice outside pool with a bar adjacent to one side where staff serve you cocktails, coffees or icecream to just name a few. There is also a jacuzzi and steam room inside for ones who wish to relax. There is a nice garden area where meals are served. Staff also do a very nice grill (you need to ask as not always the case) of which you can get all you can eat for a very reasonable price. And we loved the food pretty much. This is a family run enterprise where family members also run an academy in the hotel service industry (only off season so service is not impacted at Szandra). As you can imagine they are committed to the highest level of service and they don't fail to deliver. The reason we know all this is that we become friendly with Zsani, daughter of the founders, who also were happy to give us a lift when we wanted to go to Balatonfured and had more drinks that would have warranted driving. Szandra Panzio is about 10 minutes walk from the beach, which is a really good distance, this kind of activity is needed as a minimum. :) If you arrive from the train station or the motorways, it is even easy to access. The staff are always available, they're friendly and helpful. Parking is free, outside of the building. If I'm not mistaken, they're pet-friendly as well, but ask them for the details.||The room was very clean and nice, we just stepped out to the pool when we left the room on the other door. It contains air-condition, wifi (ask for the code on the reception), mini bar, safe.||The garden is excellent, it has an atmosphere like you were in Italy. Their wellness-part contains 2 sauna rooms (Finnish, infra), there's a steam room and a jacuzzi.||In the neighborhood there's a nice football-field.||The beach is nice, you can rent stuff but just bring a towel and put it under a tree. This pension is a real treasure.||Just like the building itself, the rooms are also very nice and friendly with real plants with enough space for 2 and with all comforts: air conditioning, wifi, minibar, safe. (One should ask the code for the wifi at the reception.)||The garden is pretty. The pool is small, ideal for families with small childeren. The wellness section is small but good, it has a jakuzzi, finnish sauna, infra sauna and turkish bath.||The staff is always available, friendly and helpful.||Parking is free in fron of the building.||||We have asked only breakfast in order to be able to try the cuisines in the nearby restaurants, and we were very satisfied with the wide choice.||||The pension is approximately 1.3 km from the local beach, where parking is free, too. The beach itself was also a very nice surprise for me: nice and groomed with clean toilettes and numerous litle places to eat at a very reasonable price.
