Keszi Panzió — Hotel in Budakeszi járás

Oh my, where to start? Susanna and her husband are fantastic hosts, and the location was just perfect. Our family ( husband, almost 2 yr old daughter and myself ) boiked this b & b on recommendation of my friends mom for a wedding week! The location can't be beat!we like to hike/trail run, and this b and b is 1.5 miles from Janos Hegy, great for getting in a workout and seeing fantastic views of Buda and Pest! It has easy access to the bus ( the stop is almost tat their front door) to take you into the city (22a), right into former Moscow square, where you can pick up the metro or take another bus into the castle district or other environs. It's quiet and beautifully landscaped , plenty of parking if you are driving. It's about 40$ to cab it from the airport, which was great for our travel weary and baggage laden family of 3. Susanna greeted us on arrival with a tray of fruit/ cookies and made coffee and cappuccino for us. She made plenty of toys available for our daughter, and their 3 outdoor cats were friendly. Susanna provided an excellent breakfast selection every morning, and had toddler friendly plates/cups/silverware for our daughter. She even loaned her a smock so she could play in the water fountain and not get soaked! You can tell she loves children. Our room also had a huge pack and play set up for her with sheet, pillow and duvet. We were thrilled and grateful! They speak very limited english, but we had no issues communicating in our halting hungarian (good morning, yes, no, thank you is what we worked with!). If you speak hungarian or German , you'll have no problems. There is a fun ( kid friendly ) pub 2 doors down , with outdoor seating and decent beer. About half a mile up the road is great pizza! Pizza Porta . Excellent wine to be had there as well!try the Sauska cuveé 2013. I stayed here several times during the past months and have to say this place is outstanding value for the money. People make the difference, and in this case the host is simply wonderful. The property is situated in the center of Budakeszi, next to the bus station and close to all nearby restaurants and points of interest. Rooms are fitted with everything you'd expect, all in very good condition, and complimentary coffee and tea is available throughout the day. There is free parking in the courtyard, nice green garden and tables outside to enjoy in the summer evenings. Breakfast has a rich offering and the host will offer to cook eggs or omelets, and have to say they are extremely good.||The host does not speak fluent English, only German, so unless you speak German or Hungarian communication might be a bit difficult. Although the property is located by the main road, guest rooms are situated towards the back of the courtyard and are extremely quiet - only noise we noticed was the church bells from time to time.||I do not give 5 starts often but this place definitely deserves it. What stands out is the atmosphere and friendliness of the owners who really make you feel at home.
