Magdaléna Vendégház Esztergom — Hotel in Esztergomi járás

We stayed here in August 2014 and we booked it via HotelGuru.sk. The accommodation itself was OK – large spaces and sufficient standard equipment. Unfortunately our satisfaction with the accommodation was completely overshadowed by the issue with its price. The offer (http://1drv.ms/1AlTCT8) as well as the booking (http://1drv.ms/1AlTMK8) clearly stated confirmed price of 60.000 Ft for 3 bedrooms for 5 persons, however at payment this price was dismissed by the landlord as incorrect and she demanded a price higher by 33% (80.000 Ft, http://1drv.ms/1AlTOlp). In the following argument the price on our booking was ignored and we were subsequently sent to hell with a strong suggestion that we were dishonestly trying to rob the landlord. The landlord being unable to communicate other than Hungarian made the argument significantly difficult to resolve. HotelGuru.sk downplayed and later ignored our complaint, shifting the responsibility on the landlord. Our opinion is that by quoting the incorrect price on the booking we were deceived and it doesn’t bother HotelGuru.sk neither the landlord. If we knew the correct price at the time of booking, we wouldn’t choose this accommodation and probably wouldn’t come to Esztergom at all. We are frequent and regular visitors to this type of accommodation across various countries, however so far we haven’t experienced such blatant ignoration of agreed price and subsequent arrogant approach.
