Hotel Amarillis — Hotel in Győri járás

Can’t really rate the accommodation as due to the traffic we didn’t make it to sleep there, but I’m giving 5 starts for their excellent customer service. We booked a room and we were notified of their check in hours that run until 23:00. Initially the GPS was showing the arrival time to be 19:00, but as the traffic was getting worse and worse the arrival time changed to a later time and I was in continuous contact with the reception to let him know of the delay. The person there was willing to stay 2 hours past his regular work hours to wait for us and check us in (family with 2 kids) which was really appreciated, but once the time was 23:00 and the GPS was showing more delays I thanked him and told him that we will give up and pull over to a hotel closer to the place we were stuck in traffic. It was at that point that he told me he would have liked to wait for us however he needs to be at back to work at 6:00. So initially he was willing to stay until 1 in the morning , that’s 2 hours longer that he is paid just to wait for us and then go home and be back at work at 6:00 with less than 4 hours of sleep. We used it for a base to visit Vienna. It is located about 500 meters from the highway, but not noisy. From Győr is ten minutes away by car. It has its own parking. The hotel is basic, clean, spacious, staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious with simple and outdated furniture, bathroom clean, the fridge was not working, a small crt tv with hungarian channels, internet is very good.|| All in all, considering the price of the accommodation we were satisfied with...

A fantastic hotel for a very cheap price! The rooms are large and very comfortable, great breakfast options. The staff are very friendly, I was assisted by Zdenek who went above and beyond for my every request - thank you Zdenek! It’s also in a great location, close to all transport links and in the middle of the new/old towns. I would recommend this hotel to anyone...
