Fürge Róka Porta hostel — Hotel in Körmendi járás

Excellent stay at Fürge Róka at the end of August 2019. I contacted the property directly and booked a bed in the dorm. The room was new, clean and simply furnished. Bed was comfortable.

It's a small working farm. Breakfast is prepared with season produce - and whilst the 'menu' is limited, it was delicious. There is a well equipped communal kitchen, although I didn't use it as was only there for 1 night. There is a very reasonable restaurant about 250 m away.

The only negative was the lack of WiFi in the dorm room/building, so had to stand near the main building for a connection. Could be addressed by running an ethernet cable between the two buildings.

In summary, an excellent host, with a very peaceful and relaxing environment. Would definitely stay again if passing through this area in future.

What a lovely little place this is. The lady who runs the place is very, very nice. She showed me around the whole farm. There is a 10 bed dorm which I had all for my self. There is also a communal kitchen to use. Wifi is provided. The breakfast was out of this world. Dinner is provided 3 houses down the road in a little beer garden. I stayed there on my way from Budapest to Ljubljana on my inter rail trip through the Balkan. It is so different from all the shining rest of the places I have stayed in. We were there for 2 nights. The place is an oasis with full of nice memories of my childhood. Animals, homemade goat cheese, nice placed to sit out and enjoy the sounds of nature or stargazing.
