We have stayed at this hotel during the new year. 3 nights costed about 280K HUF. The program was nice and as promised, food was great, very Hungarian, musicians were really nice. All pre-planned programs were really nice. The land is nice and maintained too. However, when it comes to issue handling or CUSTOMER support, I would give 0 stars. First day no electricity because one device was faulty but slow-ish response, took about 6 hours to sort. Then the 2nd day there was no hot water at all, it was gone at 3 PM and when went to sleep at 4-5AM it was still super cold. When we woke up it was present. HOWEVER, when communicating/ asking for update majority of staff agitated, "can't say anything new" attitude. The last day when we checked out, they DIDN'T ask for keys and we have forgotten to give it back. When we noticed it, called them, but i wish we didn't.... Blaming customers at this price range is ridiculous. I posted it to them, haven't heard anything since. A good hotel is about issue management as well, not just pre planned programs. No compensation for all this at all, not even a free drink or whatever just following the "We hope you come...
Read moreWe have celebrated my wife's 40th birthday and spent 3 nights at Gereby Kuria. |We enjoyed every minute of it. Although the hotel is at a hide away location, it has all the amenities. Football pitch, tennis courts, playground for kids, small indoor wellness area and a billiard room. |If you are into horse riding, don't search further this is the place to be. My kids do enjoy horseriding so have visited many stables in the coutry, but Gereby's facilities reach higher than any of the rest, including the trainers. |Every member of the staff we encountered was excellent and welcoming, a special mention goes to the two gentleman at the reception. Istvan Horvath and Tamas Sandor made our stay even more memorable by responding positively to all our unique requests. |Bravo Gereby, keep up the quality and service! ||p.s.: many might know Gereby as a resort for weddings. Indeed, while our time there, two weddings took place. Luckily the hotel is at a so large territory that we have not even noticed any negative downsides...
Read moreWe spent there 2 days for a wedding last week. I was amazed by the scenery it is the typical Hungarian village or puszta with horses and all other props. In the area of Geréby kúria you can enjoy a lot of different activities. You can rest, have a swim in the pool, see horse shows (if there is!) have delicious Hungarian food. Service is satisfying. We had the small rooms but they were ok except that it was very hot and no air-condition or fan in the rooms, this was the only negative thing. All in all food was fantastic at the wedding and everything is cool. I was...
