Parish Bull Hotel — Hotel in Kisvárdai járás

At the moment you should avoid this hotel. Why? Because they (The Management) really need to get their act together. The Parish Bull is lacking the basics, I stayed two nights never saw a cleaner, rooms are dirty (I spoke to others about this), some rooms are tiny, only barely warm water for showering etc, the food was dreadful, the service is poor, staff have poor communication manners and I’m not just talking about speaking other languages, their operation skills are seriously lacking i.e. regular trips to the table to see if all is ok. What intrigued me though was the amount money being spent around the complex on fancy outbuildings??? You can read into that what you will, but it’s no use investing in more buildings until you invest in staff training and getting the basics right.||This for me is a common feature in the Eastern Euro zone……fancy buildings, expensive décor and flooring etc…..but when it comes to basics….mmhhhh, needs lots of work.||Dear management, I hope this helps you in what is potentially a...

Stayed here for two nights on drive out from Budapest hunting for my wife's long lost family. The hotel is very nice (and large/sprawling) - with a very interesting new non-denominational church/wedding chapel on site. Great Goose Liver on the menu in the restaurant (which closes at 9pm sharp; but bar is open later). Wifi is spotty (to say the least) - and seems to work best in the parking lot. Hotel is about 1 km from center of Kisvarda. Not bad as for the hotel on the border. Rooms and bathrooms with old furniture which require replacement but clean and no smell. Quite and warm atmosphere. Hotel realy impressed with solar panels on the roof which helps to operate in ecofriendly mode. Staff with low English skills but kind and welcome trying to understand.
