Bogácsa Apartman — Hotel in Mezőkövesdi járás

I woud rate the apartment 3.8 if it were allowed. There was some confusion on checking in as we arrived 5 mins early. The location is slightly outside the village but good if you like walking, as we do. There is no traffic noise. The shower room was the best in the apartment, roomy and great to use. Good hot water and water pressure. Kitchen was adequate but the provision of cutlery / crockery and kitchen ware was limited - 2 of everything but no serving spoons or extras. The fridge is old and not working well - no salad drawer (missing), restraining bars missing completely or replaced with curtain rods (really!). Due to its age the ice box couldn't freeze the water and cooling was inadequate for the fridge. Definitely needs a new fridge. Other equipment was fine - microwave, toaster etc. Bedroom was a little small but adequate, bed itself was firm and comfortable- although a supportive leg in the middle had tipped to one side and creaked every time you moved or got in and out. I tried to straighten it but the bed was too heavy for me. Plenty of furniture throughout the apartment for clothes, books or whatever you bring with you. Great balcony, facing south west to enjoy the sun or watch ir setting or just drink coffee. Garden with big circular pool, table tennis, loungers etc. Unfortunately it seems that every house has a dog, and they live mostly outside. When one starts up barking, one after the other, they all do and you end up with a dog chorus . Annoying but they do eventually stop. I would describe the hosts as civil rather than welcoming - they responded quickly when I emailed about the missing ice tray. Replace the fridge, fix the leg under the bed, provide a few more kitchen utensils a d my mark would go...
