Hotel Pagony Wellness & Conference — Hotel in Nyíregyházi járás

The rooms we had were really outdated except the bathroom that seemed to be recently redone. The hallway carpet was extremely dirty which is unacceptable for a 4 stars level. The hotel advertises various room types but seems as we booked on short notice we got the worse side with rooms that are very small, outdated and have absolutely no view.||In terms of toiletries a tiny shampoo and a tiny shower gel tube for the whole family - counting the hotel is advertised as a wellness one I expected much more inclusive sleepers, extra towels - its true you get a bathrobe in the pool area against a ticket you have to care for is not you will be charged.||Breakfast was ok a lot of choice but in terms of taste nothing wow or special.||On the grounds there are a horse riding range, tennis courts, a lounge that was not clear if in use and some facilities more fit for events like an amphitheater and receptions area. ||For families with small children there is a kids corner inside the restaurant that looked pretty well cared and could be practical for keeping the little one busy.||In terms of location unfortunately this hotel is completely at the edge of the city close to a huge shopping areal mostly with supermarkets that might be considered a plus if you need to buy anything especially if travelling with kids but a minus if you prefer to walk to the historical center or enjoy some more restaurants - for that you will need a taxi.||Service was on acceptable level, receptionist spoke English.||Overall not a place that I would recommend for a long stay but ok if you need to make a short stop in the region. I think with a small investment and different customer approach this hotel could become a luxury retreat but its not...

I wrote 6 months ago, that I was here for the 3rd time and I gave a 5 star rating. Well, the 4th time here was a total disappointment. The room was full of dust, bathroom without an evidence of proper disinfection, balcony could not be used because of the dirt and the worst part was the way we were treated by one of the waiters in the restaurant. He refused to clean one of the large tables (we were 7 persons) , because he does not have any time, although the restaurant was completely empty and after we decided to put together 2 tables for 4 persons he shouted at us, that this is not ok for him. Totally unprofessional, not customer oriented and total lack of respect from this Zsolt guy. So we decided to leave and to eat somewhere else. And not to mention about the fact that the maid forgot her all access badge in our room, so...I would say that this is a pretty major security breach!! At this moment, we are not recommending this hotel anymore, because it got old & the stuff is super unfriendly, not having too much english knowledge, so therefore being uncapable to communicate with...

A great wellness hotel we loved very much together with our family. It is a good place to relax in the wellness area with sauna and fitness. They have outdoor sports ground and horses too. As I saw, they have a horse club who earned a bunch of trophies. It is also a very good place for children. It has an outdoor playground, the wellness area has pool for children and in the restaurant there is a playroom very well thought for kids to all ages, so parents can enjoy (finish :-) ) their meal while the kids go to play after a dinner.
