Kemence Csárda és Szálloda — Hotel in Nyíregyházi járás

We were there for three nights in early January, so the restaurant was really quiet, even if in warmer months I got that there are large events and weddings being held there, so I guess it must be a bit more noisy than what we experienced. We got room nr.4, extra large French size bed, quite clean, the bathroom too. However, we constantly had to ask the staff to bring the heating up a bit, as the room got quite cold towards the evening hours and we had the jacket on at a given moment. The staff was always very friendly and helpful and the temperature in the room was no longer an issue on our last day and night there. I'd recommend the place to those who don't mind driving to the main tourist attractions, by car it's around a 7 minutes drive to the Zoo or the Aquapark. Nice...

The reasons I scored it so low are the following:

Accommodation:

rooms are poorly insulated, could hear the neighbour snoring; an awful smell came through the bathroom sink; there was human hair all over the "clean sheets", under the pillow it was horrific; there were plenty of plant bugs, the kind that smell bad when they feel threaten or you pick thrm up; they are mostly harmless, but when you have 6 of them on the walls, that's not pleasant. My girl was horrified while I was picking them up.

And now let's mention the good parts:

very good food; very nice staff; very tidy and nice smelling restaurant bathroom.

With improvements to the accommodation part, this will become a great option...

I stayed here for one night on a road trip across Hungary and was surprised at the convenience and quality of the Hotel at such a low price.

Staff didn't speak much english but we muddled through with google translate and they were helpful and friendly.

The rooms to the rear of the property are like motel rooms, which was handy as I was able to park the car right outside my room. Although the Hotel is situated on a busy main road the room was quiet and comfortable and I got a good nights sleep.

All in all very happy with the stay!
