Hotel Erzsébet Paks — Hotel in Paksi járás

Very nice building and facilities close to the Danube in Paks. Nice, clean and spacious rooms. But they badly need improvement in services and in mind.|My colleague spent here 2 nights and I joined her for the 2nd one. Although she announced it at the reception, we arrived late (around midnight) and the receptionist didn't check me in. Next day they were suprised that we slept 2 in the room! They wanted to charge the room rate double (80 € for 8 hours sleeping in a twin?) which we of course refused to pay. We paid my breakfast only extra and the lady apologized...|We went for breakfast pretty late and there were not enough bread-rolls available only 2 pieces! When we asked for more bread they said it run out! My colleague reported there was no black tea for 2 days! We asked for bread and black tea and not for caviar in a 4 stars hotel...|How can Hungarian hospitality keep up its fame with hotels...

You cant miss the place, it's in the middle of a charming little village. Completely modern, clean, elegant, great food, beautiful surroundings, and I could go on and on. All in all a great find. The room was quiet, the bed firm, I had the best sleep in a long time. The breakfast, that was included in the reasonable room rate, was fresh and varied. The supper worthy of a special mention, well prepared and visually pleasing. The nice weather made the terrace meal memorable. The staff was courteous and correct. Pensando a questa trasferta di lavoro in una località tutto sommato fuori mano, nel mezzo della pianura ungherese, mi ero preparato, se non proprio"rassegnato" a trascorrere un paio di giorni rinchiuso in una sistemazione spartana. L'incontro di lavoro era infatti programmato all'interno dello stesso Erzsébet Hotel, e la prospettiva di rimanerci nell'inero arco delle 24 ore non mi rallegrava particolarmente.||Niente di più sbagliato: Erzsébet Nagy Szálloda è un hotel estremamente curato, ricavato da un vecchio palazzo di epoca asburgica, successivamente ampliato e rimodernato, e ora dotato di ogni comfort, tanto da rendere piacevole il soggiorno in una località che, vicinanza del Danubio a parte, non offre certo particolari attrazioni storiche o paesaggistiche.||La camera è presto descritta: spaziosa, pulita, con pavimento in legno, arredo moderno e razionale, bella tv, minibar e ottimo wifi. Ottimo anche il bagno, con ricchissima dotazione di cortesia.||Colazione buona, abbondante, e tutto sommato accettabile anche nei dolci, cosa non frequentissima nei paesi centro europei.||Personale cortese quanto basta; anche se devo dire che tutto ha funzionato alla perfezione, e la reception è servita solo all'arrivo e alla partenza.||Pezzo forte dell'albergo è tuttavia il centro benessere, compreso nel prezzo (assolutamente accettabile) con accappatoio in dotazione nella camera, asciugamano consegnato all'ingresso, piscina di circa 20 metri, bagno turco, sauna finlandese, docce varie e vasca con idromassaggio. A qiesto punto, peccato solo che si sia trattato di un viaggio di lavoro, che ha lasciato solo un breve spazio al relax in un centro così ben attrezzato. ||Se per caso vi capita di passare da queste parti, lo...
