This Hotel is cheap but category just not too bad. I'm sorry to say but this is the 'Hungarian not to bad' meaning is not so good.||We (forth of us) spent in this hotel a week.||We paid this week (package) 3 months ago before we started our holidays on end of may.||I believe about this: One satisfied customer made 200 happy customers, but one unhappy create 2000 unsatisfied.||||Good things:||- Hotel and rooms are in good conditions||- Internet was really good (fast)||- Sauna and small wellness area not too bad. (true)||- Rooms are in good conditions and clean but not as clean that you expect||- Food was very good and serve was really fast (all my respect for the kitchen chef)||- Breakfast well enough for me but some of my friends said not so wide range of foods included there||- Elevator good investment||- Thermal bath is really near by this hotel||||Bad things - When we arrived there our impression following things:||- Staff really not kind (ugly, rude and fighter type without smile. (You know customer has never right but in normal place that works opposite)|| I know these type is the really Hungarian character, but i'm say sorry because customers would like to enjoy they holidays.|| I saw just one young receptionist he was happy a day (and a gardener and some cleaner ladies), after that i can't see smile in him face.||- You need to pay attention about the details. if something not in write way (paper or email), these are simple not exits. (if you hear something by phone is not enough)||- Restaurant staff are really impolite and rude (we just saw 2 mid 40 person they where really polite - routine and years)||- Half pension bit joke and discriminatory (you get an other menu, some elements are involved but some aren't - nobody knows by first look which one)||- Hotel has own parking place but you need to pay day by day for this.||- Mess kit are old and in bad conditions||- Room cleaning: sorry to say girls (all my respect is yours) but just enough (top: 100% that is just 70%) and time to do that really random||||We just would liked to join our holiday and you are guys / staff really part of that. Customers satisfying depends on staff.||If is successes, we say, that okay and we're really happy and staff too. But if we fell like that, there is something wrong. ||I write these sentence because i felt this hotel is not bad, just need to change staff mind, because this style is not appropriate in Europe (or A fish rots from the head down).||||I suggest to avoid this hotel because they minds are in 1980.||Thank you...
Read moreWe've only tried the restaurant but it surpassed all our expectations. We were skeptical at first because the label 'superior' didn't really match the price range in our head as we've dined for more in the city before in a fairly good but not exceptional restaurant.
This one was however one of the best restaurant experiences in a long time. Due to the holidays the place was really full but the waiters did a splendid job, especially the guy who was assigned to our table. We've ordered a 'Halászlé' (fisherman's soup) and a steak with green pepper sauce and young pea pods. I'm very picky if it comes to Halászlé but this one was one of the best non-bajai style soups I've ever eaten in a restaurant. Also, you can choose from several types of fish as a basis which is a plus. The steak was not just delicious but it was represented beautifully.
This was the first time when we had to reorganize our schedule for the next-day to match with a restaurant's opening time :) And we did have a great time then as well with even more delicious food (the duck is highly recommended!) and again, with exquisite representation. The waitress on the second day seemed to be new so she did some minor mistakes but she was very kind and the service was still better then in most fancy restaurants.
TL;DR version: Outstanding kitchen, good and friendly service. The price range is just a bit above the average but the price/value rating is more...

The location was very convenient as it was just a few steps away from the Sarvar Wellness Centre as well as a stone's throw away from Tesco. A couple of blocks from it is a great (and cheap) Italian restaurant that serves really GOOD pizza and soup! and a few blocks down are the historical sights that Sarvar has. But more importantly, this hotel has its own wellness services so you don't have to compete with the rest of the "world" at the Sarvar Wellness Centre. And if you ever decide to get a massage, get it from them and not from the wellness centre and try to get an appointment with Adam! You won't regret it! And did I say, their restaurant offers really Yummy food? They do! And at really affordable prices! This is certainly going to be my "go-to" for a quick...
