We did a cycle tour around the lake and we stayed there 1 night in July and another one in August.||The owner and the whole staff was unfriendly during the time we stayed. We hoped we can use the services like the swimbath in the garden of this pension, but had no chance as the owner said we don't go into it, because he just used something cleaning material and have to stay ountouched for 8 hours - after a very hot day's evening, around 7 PM we arrived around 6 PM- ridiculous.||As we feel the owners doesn't like the people who stays only for one night. The staff becomes un-considered about the guests focusing only for the money to pay (count it in head - wrongly to make it more expensive (1/3 price)-unfortunately not realized in time) when they hear this information about the staying ignoring any kind of flexibility. We specified the room number before the book in e-mail, but when we arrived we got only the answer like "How we can imagine that they drop out the guest from that room who stayed since 1 week before our arrival?" Maybe I'm wrong (I don't think so) but this is the reason why I BOOKED that room 1 month before to stay there for that 1 night that I paid in that room that I choosed and someone confirmed back that it's "solvable" to have it. Solvable meand here: forget about it, just come and pay. Absolutely dislike the things like this. Shame on the whole staff and management for the inconveniences that caused with this "hungry for money" and "no care" behaviour.||The things we got for the price of the room: mildew shower with broken shower head, noisy and hot room with no air condition and un-eatable high priced breakfast with dirty dishes. The GPS coordinates on the homepage is wrong, without any actio to correct them after several comments on booking.com.||Not recommended for anybody. There are more better and cheaper pensions like this closer to the lake in this area.||I'll never be...
Read moreMe and my family have been here once here, not a long time ago. My first experencie was when I entered the hotel, it was a bit weird, the lobby was dark, the lights weren't turned on. Everywhere I looked, I could see those retro things on the wall, or literally anywhere. No offense, but they should upgrade the appearence of this hotel, it looks like a hotel from the 90's. Me and my family got the smallest room at the floor, even though that we came as a family, and we got a room for like 2 person. I thought that the air conditioner would be good for us, but suprisingly the air conditioner could be only used for money. The beds were appropriate, we could sleep well, though. The breakfast was between 8 and 10 maybe, the breakfast was not bad, I wouldn't say there was a pile of food there, but I had choosing opportunity. The foods were good enough. The staff was kind to us. Overall it wasn't that bad, but I upgraded a lot of things in the appearance of the hotel, if I was the owner. It was like 10 minutes far away from the beach, by walking. The parking lot was never full at the hotel, which is a good thing. The hotel also had a swimming wool, which was big enough. There were 2 supermarkets near the hotel, like 100 meter far away. Later we realised that getting to the hotel with car is pretty difficult, because of the location of the hotel, basically the hotel is by the main road, but because of the road's direction, it was hard, anyway it's hard to explain. Overall we had a good time at Balaton. I wouldn't especially recommend this hotel, but if you don't want to spend too much money on a hotel,...
Read moreWe spent 6 days at the lake Balaton and stayed at this pension because it is pet friendly. The location is not the best, it is 2.5 km from the ferry port, 1 km from the free Szántód plage and 2 km from Szántódpuszta. The room was clean but old fashioned. The shower is clean but old styled and the towels and the bedlinen are turned from their original white colour into a dull washed grey. The stairs and the corridors are dark and you get the feeling of overcrowding. The groundfloor common area is jam-packed with billiard tables, tablesoccer tables and a massage chair. The staff is friendly. There is free car park and free wifi available. The rooms would be very hot without air conditioning. The pension is next to a busy crossroad but the windows are good and sound proof. There are drogeries and supermarkets in walking distance (50-100 metre). The breakfast is very poor and it is better not to expect full english breakfast and fresly prepared orange juice. There is a microwave and a hair drier on the corridor should you need one. It is not a modern hotel but its qualities are commensurable to the...
