Meggyes Hotel — Hotel in Szerencsi járás

Stayed at this hotel with my family for a couple of nights. Overall it was a frustrating experience. Staff very friendly and although it was not easy it was still possible to communicate in English to a couple of younger staff members. ||Essentially the issue is this - we booked via Booking.com initially because the hotel's offer was what we were looking for. ||For a 3 star hotel you would therefore not expect to be told that there is no restaurant facility (despite having the Hungarian word for restaurant printed on the dining room door) and that coffee is only available during breakfast. No tea/coffee making facilities available in the rooms either. ||We were travelling with our 11 month old son and needed some hot boiled water to make his food - this seemed to be a tall order for the staff as they explained that they only have a large boiler to boil water and that it wasn't in use at that time (not a kettle in sight) ||The rooms also lacked toiletries (advertised free toiletries on hotel description on booking.com) and the room was not checked each day to remove rubbish/replenish toilet roll (we had to borrow a toilet roll from our parent's room). ||The air-conditioning system seemed to have been deactivated on the second night for some unknown reason - we went to try and find someone to ask about it but the main corridor to the reception had been locked (it was 2130) so no hope in finding someone to ask. ||A night with the fans on full and the hotel window open was all we could do to keep cool. ||Overall I believe this hotel I not ready for guests - it's obviously brand-new but the facilities they appear to offer (even basic ones you would expect in any hotel) are not available - it's such a shame as the rooms are finished to a high and comfortable standard and the hotel itself is in a very quiet secluded part of town. ||In summary - an "attempt" at...

I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights during a workshop in Szerencs. I found the employees always very helpful, even though they only had limited English knowledge.The rooms were very big. I could always enjoy fast and flawless internet connection. In the evenings we had dinner in the hotel which was of good quality and in large quantities. Három éjszakát foglaltunk félpanziós ellátással! Sajnos a félpanzió nem tartalmazott sem levest, sem desszertet. Minden nap majdnem ugyanaz volt a vacsora, rántott hús többféle változata. A reggeli is minden nap ugyanaz, zöldség minimális, ha elfogyott nem hoztak utánpótlást csak, ha szóltunk. Pékáru csak fehérkenyér. Azt mondták nem szoktak mást adni! A honlapjukon meghirdetett szolgáltatasok egyike sem volt elérhető (szauna, infra szauna, jakuzzi). A WC papírért is külön kellett szólni!!! A vacsorát 6 órára kértük, de fél hétnél előbb soha nem szolgálták fel. Utolsó este csúcsot javítottak 7-re már meg is érkezett! Elnézést azt nem kértek! Első este születésnapot ünnepeltünk, fél tízkor szóltak, hogy pakolnának. Mi többet nem jövünk ide az biztos. Árérték a szolgáltatáshoz...
