We stayed 2 nights at Hotel Kumilla in October 2011, and one night in October 2010. Nothing changed. The rooms are on the small side, furniture and especially the drapes are shabby and worn out - a bit better in the refurbished and necessarily more expensive rooms. But it is worth paying a little more money for these rooms because the bathrooms are below standard in the old rooms.||The location is perfect if you are interested in the castle and/or the thermal bath. A ticket to the bath is included in the room price. I don't know if it was a one time offer or they do this all the time. Breakfast is also included, not buffet-style, you order it from a menu. ||On the first night we fell asleep quite late due to the loud music in the bar downstairs. No A/C but large windows open to allow breeze.||||Helpful friendly staff at front desk with some English spoken. They accept credit cards.||||Very close to the castle/museum and the hot springs pools, as well as the main shopping street and square.||||Breakfast menu looked good, but many items on the menu were not available...including waffles ("goffre") and basics such as yoghurt and crescent rolls ("kifli"). Skip the French Breakfast unless you like chocolate puff cereal in milk (not muesli in yoghurt as advertised).
