Even though the owner/manager wasn’t present for check-in, a cleaning lady was; and while she only speaks Hungarian, she called for instructions. The renter sounded quite friendly and helpful. In this respect, check-in was fast. However, instructions sent via Booking.com don’t tell you your room number or how to get in without a key (only how to get into the building). This could’ve been problematic, if I had not run into the cleaning lady by chance, as she was throwing out the garbage. . In the message sent by management via Booking, check in time is mentioned as 3:30pm at the earliest, with possible charges for an earlier check-in. This is about 30 to 90 minutes later than most places and is problematic, because Booking says check in after 2pm. Since I get up early, I tend to look for places I can check in early, so this could have been a big problem were it not by chance I didn’t get there until 3:25pm. Whether I actually would’ve been charged for showing up at 2pm, I don’t know. . The room is big, as is the bathroom, and is spotless. If this place is new, that would surprise me, as decor is 1970s/80s. However, it is well-furnished and maintained. The beds are hard, but that’s a matter of taste. Unfortunately, there were problems. It was 29C outside when I checked in and the room was hot and stuffy. I put on the AC at full blast, but after hours, the room was less hot, but barely tolerable. Three cold showers throughout the late day helped, but the AC is either inefficient, overworked, or lacks sufficient freon. Only at 9pm was I able to open the windows, at which point the AC and fan just suddenly stopped. Maybe it got a whiff of the colder air outside, I don’t know, but the room was still far from comfortable and it never went on again. The thermostat is designed in such a way that you have no idea what you’ve set the temperature for. . There’s also a small refrigerator which takes a long time to cool down, but is sufficient. . The place is provided with residual waters from floods (owner’s words in Booking message, not mine), which I would not drink from looking at it (suffice to say, when flushing the toilet after urinating, it looked like it didn’t flush at all). No smell or discoloration is apparent in the shower or sink (how?), and there is no adverse smell or taste. Fresh water is provided in the hallway. Strangely, accept for a poorly placed soap dispenser by the sink, no shampoo or soap is provided, which, for the price, I find strange. Nevertheless, not outrageous. . It’s difficult to rate the place. In the Summer, when it’ll get really hot, the lack of AC would be a big issue for me. The location of the hotel was not a problem for me as it appears to be for some people. At night, the sound of frogs and other animals are the only things disturbing your rest. Bring earplugs. Other than that, it’s quiet, the rooms are immaculate, there are plenty of outlets and the rooms are big. Not the most comfortable of rests,...
Read moreÜdvözlet Mindenkinek! A szállásra a Bookingon találtam rá, abszolút korrektnek tűnt, látvány és ár-érték arány tekintetében. Ám érkezéskor rendkívüli csalódást okozott. A nívós épület előtt, a kerítésen belül, másik “építmény”; a parkoló teljesen megtelve, munkás emberek százai cigarettával a kezükben a bejáratnál - félre értés ne essék, ezzel semmi gond, hiszen mi magunk is kétkezű, munkás emberek vagyunk!!!!
