Jókai 7 — Hotel in Tapolcai járás

Where do I start? What a lovely little gem we found! My boyfriend and I, along with another couple, stayed here for a weekend, and we couldn’t have been happier with our choice. We found this place on Booking.com and immediately fell in love with the photos. The charming little houses looked adorable, and the garden was a huge bonus.

As we all know, pictures don’t always reflect reality… but in this case, the photos were spot on! The place looked exactly as shown. Even though it’s been open for a few years (if I’m not mistaken), the apartment felt, looked, and even smelled brand new. We stayed in apartment #3, and the interior was beautifully designed with thoughtful details throughout. The garden was also incredibly cute and well maintained.

Location-wise, it was perfect, close enough to a Tesco Hipermarket and not far from the lake, which made everything super convenient. We ended up cooking dinner at the apartment and enjoying it outside in the garden, and we also had breakfast there. Such a peaceful and relaxing setup.

If I had to give one piece of feedback, it would be to perhaps add a fan upstairs for the sofa bed area. The AC didn’t quite reach that level, so our friends felt a bit hot during the night. It would also be amazing if there was a grill or BBQ available in the garden, it’s the perfect space for it!
