Equital deserves so much praise, I don't know where to start. Firstly, when I was organising the trip via email, Reka was always more than happy to help, and gave us plenty of useful information before even arriving in Hungary.||||Reka is truly an amazing host. She will definitely make sure that you have a wonderful time at the horse farm (and her food is incredible!) Everyone at the horse farm is so friendly, it was lovely to be greeted by smiling faces everyday. Even though our teachers didn't speak English, this shouldn't make anyone hesitate because it really didn't cause any problems at all. Reka is always around to translate, and it was nice to pick up a few words of Hungarian anyway :) ||Our room (the family room) was really comfortable. Clean, nicely decorated, the shower was incredible, and it was really warm.||The horse riding lessons were amazing, our teachers were very patient (and so sweet!), and it was both enjoyable and instructive. I also recommend archery lessons - again, the teacher doesn't speak English but this is not a problem, he is fantastic and by the end of one session I felt like I had the basics techniques covered. ||Arranging for a massage is also a must-do. The masseuse is great, and I felt very comfortable throughout the session.||||Essentially, anyone who wishes to learn horse riding (or just go horse riding if they already ride), enjoy the beautiful countryside (and Lake Balaton is close!), get away from stress and retreat in a gorgeous setting with really friendly, hospitable people, I would recommend Equital Horse Farm without a second thought.||||I thank Reka and everybody at Equital once again for giving me and my friends an unforgettable time in...
Read moreA very dodgy place... My boyfriend and I went there to go horseback riding. We did several horseback riding trips in other countries already and are experienced horseback riders. However, once we got there, they said we had to do a test in order to see if we can go and ride outside (which we did a hundred times in other places already). The trainer was Hungarian, barely spoke any English and was very unfriendly (in contrast to friendly Reka with whom we did the booking). This trainer decided we were not up for proper riding trips, our skills were not good enough, so he would only allow to go slow pace for one hour haha!!||Imagine booking a horseback riding vacation and not beeing allowed to ride in the end!! We were furious! So we canceled the place of course and they kept the 20% booking fee. We went to a hotel in Keszthely and found a stable close-by where we could go horseback riding and there was no issue at all - we galloped for hours.||||I do not know what the issue with Equital is, but there must be a reason why they do not have any guests and chase the guests away they get...?!||Again, avoid yourself the trouble to go there - they will not...
Read moreMy husband (non-riding) and I (dressage rider) stayed at Equital between 26/12-29/12||After visiting and riding in many Europe countries like Austria and Germany - I have to point out that this place surpassed my expectations by far. Apartment was great, food was outstanding in their restaurant (even compared to various well-known gourmet restaurants we've been to), and of course the horse riding was very good!!! People were really nice and horses were well tempered with unexpectedly good riding base for "just a riding-out horse". Even test riding was more of a riding lesson than "just a test ride". And, of course the nature was just outstanding.||The only regret that we didn't stay longer.||Another plus is that it's just 2 hours drive from outlet Parndorf :)||P.S. My non-riding husband told me that out of all we did during vacation including Budapest (where we went to opera, operetta, New Year 5-course dinner in Halaszbastya, cave adventure, dinner cruise and, of course, sight seeing) - this was the most enjoyable part of...
