I stayed for a few night over the Easter weekend on a special deal which included breakfast and 3 course evening meal.||The room was ok and fairly comfortable. It was small but as it was only a single it is what I expected. Only issue was that the room had skylights with no blinds so the sun woke me early most mornings. There were not many hangers in the wardrobe but more were provided when requested. All other room facilities were good, good size bathroom with bath and shower inside bath. My room was cleaned every day!||The reception staff and the restaurant staff were great and very friendly and helpful. Most of them spoke reasonable English as well.||Breakfast was buffet style and there was a good selection of hot and cold food and fruit juices and coffee etc.||Evening meal on my first night was ordered from the menu which had a good selection of dishes. The other nights for Easter then did a buffet style and had 2 types of soup and number of different meat and vegetable dishes. The deserts were a bit limited but what they had were nice. I did not buy any food as it was included in the price but prices were reasonable and drinks I purchased where very reasonably priced.||The hotel had a games room with a pool (billiards) table that we used on a number of evenings with some local friends that were allowed to come in. There was also another room with a child's toy play area (which we did not use) but also a table tennis table that we used a couple of nights and we had great fun.||The hotel also has a play area at the back of the property.||There are also bicycles to hire as well.I used one for 2 hours on one morning but it was included in in the cost of my room stay.||A good location near to Tata town center (about 10-15 mins walk) and the train station is also only about 10 minutes to walk. The hotel is on a main road but this was not a problem and there was no noise in the bedrooms.||I had a very pleasant stay and I would definitely stay again if...
Read moreI spent a conference weekend in Hotel Kiss and was absolutely satisfied and even nicely surprised. I didn't have time to go out during the conference, so I got to know the hotel very well. I was given a comfortable room "Superior" category of spotless cleanliness and delicious warmth (in the rainy autumn). For me, the quality of the bed is important because my back hurts: the mattress was very comfortable. My neck is also delicate: there were small and large pillows. The winter duvet was too warm for me. The 3 meals a day are not to be listed, abundant, wide choice, Swedish table, from diet to Hungarian. 2 soups, 5-6 second courses, salad, pickles, etc. The cakes and the many pastries were from a master baker, I think because they were not standard. Our association will return next year. Parking lot, swimming pool, good buffet during the day, smiling and helpful staff. Located between the Tata "Old" Lake with touristic services and Fényes Spa with a walking trail. Nice walks (I could do only two short ones.) The little town is a cute one, except for the shabby railway station (outside, inside it...
Read moreWe stayed there for a night, as a high-way stop.we wanted a room with three beds, the price went up by the time the receptionist went 'to check it." Then there was no extra bed all of a sudden. Finally, a sort of hard mattress with an elevated head part was placed on the floor! That was supposed to be the extra bed for our son, for 30 euro surcharge! The receptionist also was room service, he tried to make the bed, we had to call him twice to finish it. Our complains were disregarded: these are our standard beds, madam, live with it. The manager could not be called or reached in any other way. ||The room was ok, but renovated with cheap materials (window seal broke when we leaned on it. Very noizy air conditioner, shower holder broken. ||The only good thing was the food at the restaurant - friendly staff, great taste and ridiculously cheap. ||I wonder how long until the place gets out of business. ||Positive side: clean, relatively quiet....
