My review is for the golf course not for the hotel. I had chance to play this course and it was interesting experience. Course is close to highway, but it has not big influenece. Like everything in Hungary its a bit difficult to get to course from hotel gate, no signs. Parking lot is a quite big and close to reception. I was surprised by warm welcome at reception and they let me play even they had tournament, so I jumped in front. I say it right away ratio price/ value is pretty good there and it improve the rating for sure. Birdie book is available at reception. I did not try the practice area since I did not have much time, but all is available even short par3 course. Course itself is pretty flat. All the holes are separated from each other with grown trees. Course has enough water so fairways are very juicy and green as well as greens, by the way they are quite fast. Fairways are wide and short, so you can easily score there. Design of the holes is not much interesting, however it is good place to have a quick round of golf. I would definetely come...
Read moreI only had a brief overnight stay whilst visiting Tata, arriving late evening and off again promptly the following morning. I arrived about 22:30, it’s straight off the M1 behind a service station, looked smart but car park was virtually empty. Initial impressions are of 90s decor, and this continues in the room which appears to have had a few spot repairs but no recent renovations. The toilet was cracked down the back of the pan and the soap dispenser was barely hanging to the wall and the shower head would stay up, making showering a difficult chore rather than a refreshing pleasure. Nothing in the minibar and nowhere to get anything like a bottle of water. ||Breakfast was remarkably varied and well presented considering the hotel seemed almost empty and only the odd staff member around. If busy, the hotel might have a welcoming atmosphere but it felt soulless on this visit. I would happily return to give it a second chance, I’d love to love this place, and hopefully some investment in updating the rooms and general decor will have...
Read moreHigh price for misserable quality. I paid nearly 100 eur for green fee , what I immediately regret. There was dried grass on a fairways and greens, better say no fairways. If they would charge 20 eur on these conditions I would refuse to pay and play. Now I understand why there was no people on course. It is simple golfers trap. I do not recommend to play at no price under current conditions. Perso nell do not speak english, german, italian at least i have tried, besides hungarian.
P.S.: Once you sell damaged goods so would be fair to sell it at discounted price, same should be valid for green fee. This is something you built a name and relations to your customers and for sure not aplicable for this course and owners. Maybe thats why the golf is still trying to find its...
