My husband and I had high expectations celebrating our anniversary at this newly established "5 star hotel". The issues have started upon arrival, when we were told our massages for the following day were not showing in their system, due to a system update (they have confirmed later) even though the appointments were secured 3 months prior to our visit, via email, by the Wellness Manager. We were offered another time slot, which was slightly inconvenient, and a 20% discount off their service charge due to their mistake. This was reactive customer service, so could be avoided, but was happy with their offer anyway. We were pleased with our Deluxe room, however, there were definitely no vineyards view from our balcony, which we paid extra for. We would have expected user manuals for appliances to be left in the room, so for instance one can figure out how the AC works in a heatwave. The room itself was clean and all in order. The spa facilities were average, far from luxurious. Dinner was satisfactory, as well as drinks at the bar. There was a really helpful bartender who assisted my dietary requirements with ease. My massage then the next morning was reduced from 80 minutes to 50 minutes due to the masseur having been confused, she was then told by her colleague about the mistake, and she has offered an additional 30 minutes face massage, which was again, a kind act, but reactive customer service, which could have been avoided. Our cards to the room have stopped working at 11 am even though we have paid extra for late checkout, it took 3 attempts, so us going up to our room, back down to reception for someone to finally offer to come up with us and let us in with their staff card. This mornings' mistakes made us loose 2 precious hours of our day, but again, out of reactive customer service, we were offered a free transfer to the town centre, appreciated, but should I say... Could have been avoided. Overall, our final verdict is that the hotel is overpriced, with poor customer service, there is definitely room to improve. Would not...
Read moreWe have recently enjoyed our stay at Minaro Hotel Tokaj MGallery from January 2nd to January 4th. While we appreciate the overall pleasant experience, including the warm and friendly staff, we cannot rate this hotel as 5 stars. In our opinion, the hotel fall short of the expected standards for a 5-star hotel. We believe addressing the following issues could significantly contribute to enhancing the overall guest experience.
ROOM:
The cupboard next to the entrance door posed a concern as it would hit the main door when opened.
The shower drainage was all black with mush. It needs to be cleaned properly
There was no tissue paper in the room
There was no disposal toothbrush and tooth paste (not a big deal as we always carry our own but we have seen it in every hotel)
There was no towel dryer
LOBBY WC:
No coat/jacket hangers inside Men’s WC
The corners were very dirty
DINNER:
Lack of staff and we had to wait for the wine for 20 mins while having our dinner on the first day (so on the second day, I just got a bottle of red and two glasses on my own and brought it to our dinner table to save the time)
SPA:
SPA bar was opened until 6pm but the SPA was opened until 8 pm. What if one gets thirsty or need more drinks in those two hours?
The Steam Room (our most favorite) was inundated/flooded with water because the drainage was blocked and the all the filth came up and the water was stuck for hours. No one did anything about it
The labyrinth shower was not working either
While we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and found the room to be cozy and comfortable, addressing these concerns could elevate Minaro Hotel Tokaj MGallery to the esteemed standards of a 5-star...
Read moreA luxury hotel with very special architectural and decorative solutions, located in a peaceful, natural environment. Cozy interiors, pleasant wellness area, very nice decoration. Despite the holiday weekend, we were able to relax peacefully, there were not many people in the pools. The staff is extremely nice, friendly and helpful. The evening receptionists organized the transfer to the city for wine tasting in an excellent way, and even offered us a drink while we waited. They understand hospitality remarkably well, which is unfortunately not so common in other hotels. The young driver was also extremely nice and flexible when the return time changed a little. All the employees in the restaurant were also very polite, everyone did their part to make us feel at home. The quality of the food is high, the selection is not too extensive, just enough, but we were especially happy about that, because we always managed to eat much more than we wanted. Kitti's world-class cakes played a special role in this, which are superior not only to hotel buffet dinners but also to pastry shops. I would like to highlight the soups during dinner. I am very happy that the hotel chose quality ingredients over quantity, I think that is exactly what is good in a 5-star hotel. We really like relaxing in the Tokaj wine region, we definitely...
