The most disappointing stays we experienced in Iceland. What was meant to be a peaceful night turned into a restless ordeal — there was a constant knocking sound outside our window that lasted the entire night, making it nearly impossible to sleep. We weren’t sure what was causing it despite the rainy weather outside, you could still hear it even with earplugs. When we brought it up with the hosts, they seemed completely indifferent and offered no help or apology. The overall comfort level here leaves much to be desired. The walls are incredibly thin, to the point where you can clearly hear guests in neighboring rooms — including intimate moments that are uncomfortable and definitely not suitable for families traveling with children. Privacy is practically nonexistent, and quiet is not something you can count on. Accessibility is another issue. The steep, narrow staircase poses a challenge for anyone with mobility limitations or heavy luggage, and it’s not well-lit at night. Inside, the bathrooms and showers are cramped, especially for medium to larger-built guests. It feels like everything was designed without much thought for comfort or practicality. Given the many excellent guesthouses available across Iceland, this one simply isn’t worth the inconvenience or lack of rest. What could have been a cozy countryside experience was instead marred by poor soundproofing, dismissive hosts, and a generally uncomfortable setup. I’d recommend looking elsewhere if you value your sleep, privacy, or basic comfort.

I have checked the Safetravel in the morning on Oct 10, 2023. It still be okay to travel from hella to guesthouse. Upon I drive there, I found out that the police has closed the road nearby the Seljalandfoss around 11.00am and not allow anyone go! I asked the police she said it might be opened in the tomorrow morning Therefore I have contacted the Flaga 2 guesthouse in this matter. They said it might be open later. We have wait nearby and checked the app of safetravel all the time. It always show the red sign until almost 4.00pm. We need to find the new place to stay so we request their assistance as we cannot reach their place. They said they will refund €100 back so I have contacted the online channel that i booked as I just wondering how they will refund the difference amount that I booked. The online channel advised the guesthouse must allow you to cancel then they will refund the money. Then guesthouse advise us to cancel the book once I proceed they ignore all my response and the online channel said guesthouse has refused to waive the fees for us. Please be aware! Anyone would like to book this guesthouse. You need to ensure you can go there only. Otherwise, you will lose your money.

My husband and I were thankful to be able to book this adorable cabin at the last moment back in early March. We were worried about what it would be like, but we were pleasantly surprised. Our room was on the left side of the cabin, which held only 1 other rental on the right. There were other cabins, but they were spaced out enough to not be a bother. It had all the basics including a small table to eat the dinner we made there in the little kitchen. The cabin was cozy and quiet. The bed was comfortable. We saw the northern lights there and it was absolutely breathtaking! I would definitely visit again.

Overpriced for the double rooms. There were really very small. 9-10 m2 for two people. The bathrooms were the size of an airplane toilet, with mini mirrors to check your face by parts because the whole did not fit in. You could not stand up straight without touching the ceiling. Nice owner, but really the price for this was highly overpriced. We have staid at much better places in Iceland for much less with breakfast included and nice views for example. The add was showing images of the common areas as if they were part of the room
You can not cook at the kitchen facility. The room included free snoring from the...
