Group of 3 girls stayed at the cottage. Loved this cute place! It’s down the road from the Magma hotel where you can get a buffet breakfast or home cooked meal but must tell them ahead of time. Think about meals since not many options around or that stay open late. Cottage had full stocked kitchen includes an oven!, extra covers/blankets, comfy beds, strong Wi-Fi, distance from neighbors, 3 girls and light luggage fit in the cottage, loved the decor and setup, patio area, and super nice staff that were accommodating and checking on our stay. Petty stuff and more of a suggestion to owners: no trash can in bathroom but there is really no space for it, no face/wash clothes, and full length mirror would be nice. ||Tips:|-find out store/restaurant options because there aren’t many and they close early|-hotel Laki is the closest option and stays open later|-directions say it’s a red cottage with white roof. See pic: it’s brown and metal roof|-like most isolated areas it...
Read moreOur stay at Landbrot was truly unforgettable. The hotel is beautifully located, the rooms are cozy and comfortable, and the surrounding nature is simply breathtaking. On the night we stayed, we were even lucky enough to see the spectacular Northern Lights — definitely one of the highlights of our trip. A special thanks goes to Sorin at the front desk. After we had already driven several hours away, Sorin reached out via Booking.com to let us know that we had accidentally left our AirPods in the room. Returning would have been very difficult with our schedule, but Sorin kindly thought through several options for us and eventually helped us ask a guide for help to deliver the carefully packaged AirPods to a hotel in Reykjavik. Thanks to his thoughtful help, we were able to pick it up without stress before leaving Iceland. We highly recommend Landbrot — not only for its amazing location and atmosphere, but also for the outstanding care and hospitality...
Read moreCheck in is at the Magma Hotel. We were given maps and instruction to find the actual cottage, but we had a hard time finding it. This is the only time we really had trouble finding anything in Iceland. A few signs would make it much easier, especially when there's a foot of snow everywhere and everything looks the same...||||The area where the cottages are is feels very isolated, there's really just 2 cottages sitting in the middle of nowhere, and it's fantastic! We went in the winter, and would love to see it in the summer. We were even able to catch a bit of northern lights at night! Kitchen is fully stocked and we brought some stuff to make dinner, as there's not much in the area. Only downside is that it is very isolated, and the wind picked up overnight and the cottage was making a lot of noises, which unnerved this city kid. But a great experience overall. Staff is also very kind...
