While on a 10-day vacation on Iceland's Ring Road, three of us spent one night here. It's easy to find, thanks to Elisa's (the owner) great directions. The guesthouse is clean, with shared bath and kitchen area as well as a covered patio. ||||Our room was perfect. Large enough for our belongings, with clean, comfortable beds. Everything in the room and bathroom was spotless. We drifted asleep to the gentle sounds of sheep in the nearby meadows.||||The following morning we used the well-appointed kitchen to prepare an early breakfast. Elisa kindly invited us to stop by their home to chat with her friendly husband about their livestock. At their farm, the gentleman explained how they purchased a farm that had been neglected and are bringing it back to life. It was fascinating to hear their plans, how much they have already accomplished, and what their goals for the place are. ||||Elisa sells handmade woolen items she crafts during the winter, and we purchased some items as gifts. The recipients love them.||||If we are ever in this beautiful corner of Iceland again, we will be thrilled...

If you are looking for a home away from home - that can also show you the beautiful icelandic way of life and is in the middle of amazing scenery, you should definitely come here! We spent a few beautiful days in the guesthouse and wish we could have stayed. The host and her family are lovely people, always helpful and willing to share their knowledge about Iceland and the local must-dos. The breakfast was the best we had on our trip, home-made icelandic specialties and so much more. The guesthouse is very clean and well equipped with everything you need and there is even a little store with handmade products and icelandic knitting, where we got unique and beautiful souvenirs to take home. If you're in the area - come and stay, there is so much to do! From hiking on the farmland with berry-picking to meeting the horses, sheep and goats. We are looking forward to our next stay and can only recommend anyone to...

The family that runs this place is amazing. When we pulled in the husband was helping guests fix a flat tire. And when I say helping I mean doing it himself so the guests could get washed up. I discussed the goats and sheeps on the property with the husband while my gf checked us in. He even offered to let me come to their house to play with the baby animals.

The accommodations are great. There are two bathrooms, one with a garden style bath. Kitchen area with everything you would need to make a meal. Indoor and outdoor seating. Towels and hand towels for bathing. THERE WAS A WASHING AND DRYING MACHINE.... First one we saw in Iceland. The hosts go above and beyond compared to other guest houses we stayed at with decorations and accommodations. Elìsa, the wife, took requests and made us an icelantic breakfast in the morning.

Perfect place to stay. Couldn't believe the accommodations for...

This cozy guesthouse was the perfect place to stay for 3 days while hiking in eastern Iceland. The quiet and delightful man who designed it, built it, and runs it pays attention to so many details that make travelers comfortable. The heated floors in the bathrooms, the charming fountain in front, and the 2 lovely decks to eat on all go above and beyond what is necessary. The guesthouse is easily accessible from the ring road, (maybe a 10-12 minute drive) but its rural location in the foothills keeps things utterly peaceful. Sheep were grazing outside our window and bird calls drifted in. Hikers can head out from the guesthouse itself or use it as a base while exploring nearby mountain ranges and all the beauty that eastern Iceland has to offer. Photos taken around 11 pm show the view across the valley and flowers in the hills behind the guesthouse.

This sweet little guesthouse is set in a picturesque landscape a little off the beaten path yet very easy to find and access. The house is well appointed, particularly the restrooms, including laundry if needed. It feels cozy and homey. There is a full shared kitchen space with a breakfast bar but also a beautiful outdoor eating area for when the weather is nice. Meals are available upon request with an additional fee. Self check in is as easy as finding the door with your name on it. The hosts were lovely people. Very friendly. Elise is a knitter and has a variety of Icelandic sweaters for sale at a very reasonable price. This location is perfect for starting or ending with Studlagil Canyon or Hafnarholmi or Egilsstadir. Highly recommended for a comfortable, homelike stay.

Couldn't recommend this guesthouse more! It's super cute, and has a warm cozy feel. It's also situation very close to the main road and easy to find! Elisa and her partner are also so responsive and thoughtful - always there to help you if needed. Amazing hosts. The guesthouse has a full kitchen with everything you'll need. Clean washrooms and very helpful laundry facilities. The rooms are spacious, clean, and thoughtfully arranged. The washrooms even had pads!!! Couldn't be more thoughtful. We'll definitely be back if in the area. And we highly recommend to others!
