Hotel Rangoli Pearl — Hotel in Amravati

Our Media team stayed for 6 days from June 2nd to June 8th, 2022 for a business trip to cover the Guinness World Record attempt by Rajpath Infracon from Pune. We were allocated delux/ superior Rooms. We chexked in late but the lady at the desk was patient, understanding and very helpful. My room 414 was a spacious room with all required amenities - a good working AC, secure door lock, place for the bags, a wardrobe with hangers, electric kettle with tea & coffee sachets too. A fresh bottle of water was provided everyday. The bathroom was a problem area with the faucet not working, leaking all over when operated! So had to resort to old style🤦 . Basic toiletries were privided- a shampoo and body wash, but no conditioner or body lotion. The soap cakes were too small and I was not too keen on them, so chose to use my Teatree soap instead. No showercaps were provided either🤷. But 100 marks for the provision of piping hot water even at late hours- that was a relief as a shower was much needed as we returned from site filled with dust, all day. A bit of a struggle with the shower mechanism was worth it. The beds and sheets were clean, tidy and satisfactory, but don't count on the reception to give you a wake up call ! They will do that, only an hour late! I save d the day and caught my flight because I learnt from experience NOT to count in the hotel's wake up call. The Ginger Restaurant is their Achilles heel really. The food quality is moderate - they do try to serve a variety of South Indian, continental and local cuisines. Don't touch the pasta - it is not even al- dante! You have to ask for hot/ warm sambar. The poha is good, bondas 👍, the toasts take for ever to arrive and hardly have any butter applied- ask for it separately. The egg preparations have to be ordered separately. Tea and coffee service need several reminders. Dinner ordered at 9.20pm was served at 11pm! 😐 The overall service restaurant tries your patience. The location is good with a Pharmacy near by. There is sufficient parking space too, but you may not have a consierge to assist you necessarily. Looks can be deceptive. A decent looking, pathetic, understaffed property that needs trained and experienced staff, not only at the front desk, but in each department of Room Service, Housekeeping, restaurant and the bar. Starting with the dreadful front desk who have no sense of customer service and accountability for anything, who have to be reminded for each request, not once, not twice but several times. If you need to order food and beverages, please ensure you order at the minimum 2-3 hours in advance. If you need tea at 6:30AM, ensure you order the tea at 3:30 AM. Best recommendation would be to avoid ordering any food or tea to your room because it'll never show up. You need to keep calling them repeatedly. Room service is abysmally slow. I doubt if the staff or ownership have the word cleanliness in their dictionary, it is indeed a very sad state of affairs. The room is infested with mosquitoes. I had to remind several times to have the housekeeping provide me with something to control the mosquitoes. Now that we are talking about housekeeping, the last straw! One of my T-Shirts went missing after I returned to the room last night. You must lock your belongings or be at the risk of the invisible ghosts flicking it, since as per the front desk their housekeeping staff is pristine. This was a one off visit to this city, to which I am unlikely to return, hence hopefully my review is helpful to those unknown to the city.
