BGR Residency — Hotel in Andhra Pradesh

I went to visit Gandikota Fort from Bangalore. I was looking for a good decent hotel. I soon figured out that only this hotel is of good quality in a nearby town of Proddatur. I was traveling when there were few case of corona virus. Hence I opted for this hotel as it had good ratings and reviews online. This hotel is 100 meters inside the main road. The approach road might not give you a good vibe but when you actually enter the hotel you will be really pleased to see the good quality service. There is ample of parking space on the backside on the hotel within the same premises. There is a bar cum resturant where people in the evening come for booze. So I didn't found it appropriate to take my family downstairs to eat. I asked the room service to bring food from the restaurant. The food was decent and they didn't charge anything for room service. Proddatur, an old town with the oldl styled busy Gandhi road, the new two laned shivalyam street running parallel and the wider t b road as main streets. Clogged, wide water stagnant drains connect the Gandhi road and shiv.street. every two lanes are alternate with the drains. High time proddatur should say bye to polythene carry bags and cups lest the place will turn a stinking plastic desert. BGR hotel located off Gandhi road moderately spacious rooms, neatly maintained. Vis a vis the other hotels, Ac room tariff is high, no wifi, no mineral water bottle, no complimentary breakfast. Wash basin at bathroom is very inconveniently placed. Lights in the room are wrongly placed and you can't comfortably view your image in the mirror. Come out of the hotel, the lane is studded with mutton stalls and chicken stalls.
