Repose Highway Resort — Hotel in Assam

We recently stayed at Repose Highway Resort, and while the property itself is well-maintained, the staff’s behavior was appalling, completely ruining the experience.

From the moment we arrived, we faced rude and unprofessional treatment. When we inquired about the room tariff, the receptionist, Mr. Dhruva Jyoti Deka, was extremely arrogant. Instead of addressing our questions, he kept interrupting us and saying ‘no’ before we could even complete a sentence. It was clear that he had no intention of listening to us.

Despite the unpleasant welcome, we still decided to book a room and paid ₹9000 in advance. Later, we had dinner at the resort, but the food was absolutely terrible. The egg curry tasted like it was made with the same curry as the aloo ki sabji, showing no effort in preparation.

The next morning, things got worse. As soon as we stepped out of our room for breakfast, the staff kept pestering us for the food payment. We clearly told them we would settle the bill after eating, but they kept coming back every few minutes, almost as if they suspected we would run away without paying. This behavior was extremely disrespectful and unnecessary.

The rice was half-cooked, and the overall quality of the food was far below acceptable standards.

It's a highway resort of the Repose Bakery Group, on the way to Tezpur, just a few kilometres before Mangaldoi. We just arrived there to dine in....not stay. The have ample parking space for cars as well as two wheelers. The entrances are universally accessible. The toilets are also very good, clean and continuously maintained. Now on the food....they offer a variety of food on the menu....we tried both Assamese Thali as well as Indo-chinese. The taste is quite admirable.... however the quantity is of great value!! The stay was excellently amazing at Repose Highway Resort located at Mangoldoi. It’s just 1& half hour drive journey to this beautiful location & aesthetically pleasing interiors. It has cute cottages with two balconies and the rooms are quite spacious. The theme implies the artistic thought of ethnic designs. The food was superb at there Resturant named- Khar Khuwa. Totally love their Assamese Food delights. My favourite was the duck curry & fish curry. Coming to the hospitality it’s fantastic trust me that - The staff is so cooperative & well behaved just the best part. Totally recommend visiting the place with your family & it’s gonna be a mind...
