MPT Kipling's Court, Pench — Hotel in Awargani

Myself and friends enjoyed our stay here for 2 nights. We had booked two AC family rooms with 3 beds online from MPTDC website. These family rooms are on the ground floor, near to the reception and dining hall. Only 3 such family rooms are available. Our rooms were spacious, clean, well furnished and with a nice sitting area outside. Room heater, mini fridge, electric kettle were provided. Other rooms are in a cottage style - one on the ground floor and another on the first floor. These rooms are slightly smaller yet outside sitting area is provided for all rooms. We opted for all meal package and that was indeed a wise selection. Both veg and non veg meals are served and all the staff were polite and quick in attending the guests. Apart from taking a Safari, the resort is a very good place to relax and enjoy nature and calmness. The hotel is about 2.5 hours from Nagpur. Turiya Gate is 1.5 km and Khawasa gate is 14 km from Kipling Court. I had taken Turiya gate online permit from MP Forest website for a full jeep as we were 6 ladies. The hotel arranged for the Gypsy for our pickup and drop. One can directly contact through the hotel too. Canter seat is also an option that the hotel can help with. There is wild life documentary to view at the hotel. A souvenir shop in the hotel has reasonably priced items. Souvenir Shops inside the Turiya gate are very expensive but in the hotel you can get better items. We also visited the pottery village - about 14 kms from the hotel. This is a MP Government owned and maintained property very near to Turia gate. The property is well secured from wild animals (except monkeys).

Mohan from the front desk is very helpful. Always greet with a big smile. If transport is required from Nagpur or any nearby places, please call the desk number. They will share the Taxi operator details.

Rooms are well designed, maintained and specious for a family of four people. They have a separate sofa which can also be used as a bed facing towards the jungle through a very large glass window. We are lucky enough to see a pair of jackals from the room itself. Room is equipped with AC/Heater/Geyser keeping all seasons in mind. Beds are also very comfortable to have a good sleep after tiring safaris.

They provide breakfast properly packed for guests, who are going for the morning safari. We found Food is okay and people might find it of the same taste if they stay for 3-4 days. The person in charge of the dining area always has a smiling face and is happy to serve food to all the guests. If management can think of changing the food menu or some variation in preparing style, the stay will be more enjoyable.

If you have full safari vehicle reservations, people at the front desk can arrange safari gypsy with an advance notice. If available, take the resort gypsy and ask for Jyotish as driver. He is a fine gentleman and very well versed with the area. He will keep you engaged during the whole safari not only for the big cats. Visited this place during Christmas vacation.. Booked the hotel via mpstdc guys. Really helpful indeed. The booking process was smooth with no hitches whatsoever. We reached this place by afternoon and were warmly greeted by the hosts. The room was allotted within the first 10 mins. Paperwork was minimal and fast. The front desk folks deserve a special pat on the back for their always willing to help attitude! The room given to us was a dlx category room on the 1st floor. Neat room with very very clean linen and bathrooms. Nothing to complain. |All meals were included in our stay. The food was yummy. Paneer was soft and tasty. My kiddo loved the dessert which in my opinion was very sweet! :) But that's just him.. In the evening every day at 7pm there is a show on Pench Tiger reserve. Very informative. Would help you if you are going for a safari. Especially the calling of deer and langurs.
