If I could rate this hotel a 0 I would, unfortunately google doesnât permit it. We had the most unpleasant experience at this hotel. We had booked 55 rooms in the month of Mayâ23 for our wedding in Decâ23 which was confirmed on email along with the hotel management / leadership on copy. Suddenly out of the blue after a lapse of 4 months the general manager Chiradeep decided to WhatsApp me (speaks of their professionalism) stating that he would need to cancel our reservation for âunforeseen circumstancesâ. When asked what the unforeseen circumstance was, he was unable to justify the same. When we enquired personally with the manager who made our booking (who was by then an ex-employee), we were informed that Chiradeep (GM) made a double booking on the same dates. In order to cover his blatant mistake, Chiradeep was coordinating with us on WhatsApp vs. emails. All hotels were booked out due to Excon exhibition which was taking place at the same time as our wedding. So you can only imagine the trouble we had to go through to host our guests in north Bangalore due to the fraudulent actions of this hotel. After numerous email communications and getting in touch with the franchise of clarion, we were put in touch with Lokesh, owner of this dubious hotel. When we questioned Lokesh of the unprofessionalism right under his nose he responded stating âI dint check the hotels email confirmation to you & Iâm not aware of itâ, - do note, he was very much on CC, if this isnât a joke I donât know what else would qualify as one. Lokesh had the audacity to request us to adjust, as we were the wedding party spending all the money. Lokesh even requested we settle to stay at other shady hotels to which he took us (the hotels shown to us dint even qualify as 3 star), while we had booked clarion which was apparently 4.5 star. So this made me think if the reviews were even genuine. Lokesh is running a circus without knowing the ABCâs of hotel management. We were harassed, cheated and disrespected during the entire process, while we had adequate proof to take this hotel to court we decided to avoid the hassle as we wanted our wedding to go as smoothly as possible. After all the struggle, we were coerced to take only 25 rooms. Do avoid this hotel at all cost, itâs shameful on your part Lokesh & management, all your actions are highly questionable. To put it bluntly, this hotel provided the worst experience I have ever had, and I strongly advise anyone considering staying here to think twice and look elsewhere.
Our ordeal began when my daughter made a bulk booking of rooms for her wedding, a momentous occasion that required careful planning and coordination. We received confirmation of the reservation, giving us peace of mind that everything was in order. However, just five months later, out of the blue, the hotel management decided to cancel the reservation, throwing our plans into disarray and leaving us utterly helpless.
What makes matters worse is that the reasons provided for the cancellation were completely baseless. It seemed as though the hotel management had no regard for the impact their decision would have on my daughterâs special day. As a result of their reckless and inconsiderate actions, we were forced to scramble and incur significant additional expenses to secure alternative accommodations for our wedding guests.
To add insult to injury, it became evident that the hotel management, particularly the owner, Lokesh and general manager, Chiradeep, had ulterior motives. It became clear that we were cheated and taken advantage of. Their actions reeked of dishonesty and left a bitter taste in our mouths. It is truly disheartening to think that a place that is supposed to provide comfort and hospitality would resort to such deceitful practices.
In light of our experience, I feel compelled to warn all potential guests and reviewers to steer clear of this dubious establishment. Clarion Hotel has shown a complete lack of integrity and professionalism. The way they treated us and the disregard they showed for the important event is simply unacceptable.
I implore anyone reading this review to avoid Clarion Hotel at all costs. Save yourself the stress, disappointment, and financial burden that we had to endure. The furnishings were outdated, worn, and frankly, quite uncomfortable. The bed was like sleeping on a pile of rocks, and the pillows were lumpy and flat. I might as well have slept on the floor for all the comfort I got.The state of cleanliness was appalling. There were stains on the carpet, the bathroom tiles were grimy, and I even found a stray hair on the supposedly "clean" towels.
