HOTEL KRISHNA — Hotel in Bihar

I booked a non-AC room at Hotel Krishna Lakhisarai on September 12, 2025, at 10:00 AM using the Amazon Pay platform, powered by MakeMyTrip, for ₹1,277. The room was booked. I called the hotel's number two or three times at 10:00 AM to confirm the booking, but received no response or callback. I tried calling again around three hours later, at 1:00 PM. This time, their staff informed me that the room I booked was already booked. Furthermore, they demanded an additional ₹500 for a replacement room! I simply asked them, "If you didn't have that room available, how did it get booked?" If a room was already booked, how did it appear available on the online booking platform? It's the hotel management's responsibility to contact the customer for confirmation immediately after the booking is complete. But I didn't receive such a rapid response from Hotel Krishna. Instead, I had to pay an additional 500 rupees in cash, or 1277 rupees + 500 rupees, totaling 1777 rupees, for an AC room I didn't want. Meaning, I was scammed. I absolutely hated this behavior from the hotel staff! But I had no choice. If Hotel Krishna had informed me of this via phone at 10 a.m., I would have canceled the booking right then.

But unfortunately! My first online hotel booking experience was the worst. I didn't experience such a response even with travel bus bookings, which are both online and offline, but their response is rapid. However, I didn't experience anything like this with hotel bookings.

Please avoid booking online for smaller cities. Hotel owners may scam you, just like they did with me! This means that the room you book online and pay for may not be given to you, and you may be shifted to another room after being charged extra. Your helplessness may be exploited. You may even be told that despite booking being complete, there are no vacant rooms.

Please avoid online booking for such cities. If booking is absolutely necessary, do it offline. You may be scammed online. You may not get the service you expect...

Krishna is a wonderful hotel that exceeded all of my expectations during my recent stay. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the warm and friendly greeting I received from the staff. They were all incredibly attentive and went out of their way to ensure that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable.

It's a good hotel, perhaps the only decent option at Lakhisarai. I stayed here many times. It is run by two very well mannered, helpful and friendly brothers. Other staff members are courteous & attentive as well. They have a small parking place, too. Check in, check out are hassle free. Rooms are cleaned everyday. Their room service foods are tasty & have a lot of options. This hotel is well recommended for anyone visiting the little shabby town...
