Namastay Welcome Home — Hotel in Bihar

First of all , this is not a 3star hotel . Don’t know who gave it to them. Pros : 1)The rooms (including beds , acs , washroom ,etc) . Atleast our room was alright

2. The hotel restaurant (only VEG food) was okay , had good food and restaurant staff were polite.

And thats it.

Cons

1. Reception and service : not upto the mark (nowhere near any mark tbh) , just a random guy with no hospitality
2. Complimentary breakfast promised during booking straightaway denied during reception.
3. No basic things provided (should had been considering a 3star hotel 🤣) . Just a soap and shampoo. No complimentary tea and stuff like that
4. In room telephone not working , cannot contact service in any way
5. Plenty if cockroaches in room
6. Tv doesn’t work

Overall : If it had been a normal hotel would had been fine , but Idk how it shows to be a 3star hotel and services like a random lodge but with high prices Also idk how it has such high google review, looks like people has no idea what a premium hospitality looks and feels like , and just got overwhelmed with the rooms and centralized AC , thinking how it...

What went well: |- The rooms are large and spacious, |- The ACs worked|- Food in the restaurant was reasonably good and priced ok.|- Clean sheets and rooms|- Working toilets, showers etc with ok fixtures||What went badly:|- There are no tables in the large rooms. Nothing to set a laptop or notebook on and work if needed |- The service ranges from ok to bad: my window didn’t close fully, letting out the AC cool air and letting in the nearby station noise. I requested them to fix it the first evening but they could not over two nights! When we ordered room service for three, there were added plates but no bowls or spoons. No one checked for water.|- The lift keeps going off from time to time due to power cuts. Admittedly, the hotel has a generator, and brings back the lights and lifts etc. But the lift keeps getting knocked out for 5-10 minutes each time there’s a power cut.||Summary: This is potentially a good hotel, but the staff and service needed is not there. Really have many problem from this hotel.

Positive: Close with railway station. Close with minimart, restaurant. Comfortable bed. Foods at hotel really delicious.

Negative: We arrived at 22h30 at hotel need to wait more than 15-20 mins for check-in. I asked to pay room when we arrived because we will check-out early at 06h30 a.m. but the guy say no, we can pay when we check-out. So when we check-out we found 1 guy and he did not understand 1 word of English and he let us pay for just for food. So we have to find the way to pay after. We are foreigner so need to ask friend to pay for us. Room very dirty. Low standard cleaning for this hotel. TV is not working. No TV box cannot watch anything. Bad service mind of reception.
