Disappointing Experience at Govind Niwas Homestay
Are the reviews fake?
I recently had the opportunity to stay at Govind Niwas Homestay, and unfortunately, my experience was marred by several issues. The first and most significant problem was the approach road to the homestay, which was in a deplorable condition. The muddy and slippery roads made it a treacherous journey, and I would advise anyone planning to visit to exercise extreme caution.
However, once we arrived at the homestay, we were struck by its beauty. The property has the potential to be a stunning tourist spot, and it's no surprise that they charge an entry fee for visitors. The views are indeed breathtaking, and I can see why people would want to come here.
Unfortunately, the bathrooms were a letdown. The commodes were not well-maintained, which was a disappointment given the otherwise beautiful surroundings.
But what really took us aback were the numerous rules and regulations that govern the homestay. It seems like they have a rule for everything, and it's not exactly welcoming. For instance, if you want to eat in the garden, you'll be charged extra. Bringing outside food will also incur a fee, and if you want to party, be prepared to pay even more. It feels like they're trying to nickel-and-dime their guests at every turn.
What's even more surprising is that the staff behavior didn't live up to the glowing reviews I'd read online. I'm left wondering if those reviews were genuine or fabricated. The staff seemed more interested in enforcing the rules and charging extra fees than in providing a warm and welcoming experience.
Overall, I would caution anyone considering Govind Niwas Homestay to be aware of the potential pitfalls. While the property itself is beautiful, the approach road, bathroom conditions, and restrictive rules may detract from your experience. Perhaps with some improvements in these areas, Govind Niwas Homestay could live up to its full potential and provide a truly enjoyable stay for its guests.

Read moreOverall it was an ok stay, considering the price. We were a group of 4 people. We booked 2 rooms- Mahua and Imli. Staff members were helpful.
Location - Till Jagdalpur highway it's very good. The real challenge starts when we had to exit the highway and reach the location. Condition of ROAD is just pathetic and worst.
Food- Taste was okay. Too much pricey. We ordered chicken curry(500 gms)- 300 rs, egg curry - 90 Rs. and roti (15 Rs. per piece).
Rooms: They were very much clean. But, we also saw RATS getting inside our rooms from the gap beneath the main door and floor.
