The place is really bad. There was no security at the reception. The rooms were extremely dirty. Linen was damp and dirty. The highlight was a dead fossilised lizard dried between the mattress and the bedsheet. There was water dripping across electrical wiring and critters crawling in the bathroom. There was a slug even on the asbestos roof. The pool was dirty as well.

Worst of all was the apathy of the manager named Rohan. He constantly harassed us for balance payment even before we reached the place saying the network would be bad and all. Well the network was perfectly good but the staff service of Jungle Book was extremely bad. Apart from the bad conditions of the room, the staff was clueless and extremely rude. Food packets for trek were very expensive and the rice wasn't cooked. There was no food on our return from trek and we were told to go out and look for food after a 24 km trek. The staff wasn't available even to check out and the entire place was vacant. There was no guard at the front door or any online check in check out facility. Any random person could enter the place. After payment of balance Rohan was unreachable. Not only was he rude. But also sexist as he as he believes Indian women don't understand what's staying amidst nature means. He categorically said the damp dirty sheets and dirty rooms are part of living in the nature

It's a beautiful place. Just the staff are rude unhelpful and...

I stayed here for a night and experienced worst (beyond imagination with frog's, large burrow holes, worms, etc) of my all back pack travelling. Find the photographs enclosed for reference.I dont find reason to recommend it for fellow travellers, unless you are good with amazon forest wild experiences.(1)completely insecure (large burrow holes, frogs, worms and what not) (2) Pathetic experience of the stay' with foul smell without ventilation, (3) extreme rude behaviour of staff and (4) No basic amenities like shower soap and towels -- unless insisted StaffThe staff has terrible behaviour upon receiving us, to all the way to checkout. They display dont care behaviour to the peaks. They feel that they are helping us or we are at their service.Rooms:Rooms are unhygienic with foul smell and no ventilation. Seeping water drips from roof top throughout night. Large burrows of my shoe size to welcome rodents and snakes.Bed and sheets have worms. No drinking waterBad power switches Bathroom; There is no basic amenities like soap and towels -- Towel and soaps are provided after we asking them 4 times. Frogs are there to accompany you alwaysNo water...

I feel this place was created with good intention keeping in mind a short stay for people visiting Dudhsagar waterfall. However, they didn't maintain this place.

When we called this place for booking they said we have to pay in advance otherwise the rooms will be allotted to someone else. We asked them that we need to see the rooms first then we will pay. But they denied. It felt like they were forcing us to pay money in advance otherwise they will allot the room to someone else. We didn't find any other room near Kulem. So, we decided to pay 500rs in advance. Then they confirmed their room. They charged nearly 2500rs for 3 persons for one night stay. But when we visited the place no one was there. All the cottages were empty.

The room which was allotted was in one of the worst condition. Very bad smell was coming from the room during monsoon. But I didn't find any bed bugs. Roads inside this place was very slippery and muddy. I would suggest everyone to avoid staying...

This hotel gives you the actual feel of nature. Just at the entrance, you will be welcomed by elephants. Even the rooms are designed to give a complete feel that you stay in a jungle. In the morning, you can watch elephants getting bathed. You can even sit on elephants and take bath. And if you lucky, monkeys also can be spotted. If you are planning to go to dudhsagar water falls, I would recommend this hotel because it is starting point for dudhsagar falls. Staffs are friendly and cooperative I would definitely recommend this 🏨

Rooms were leaking during the rain due to which bedding was damp. Customers are told that it's all self service which includes carrying hot water from outside in a bucket but hot water is not available all the time. For buffet orders one might have to wait a long time if a group who is there first finishes all of it.
