We stayed at this place and i ll love to visit it again.
a) Hotel Property : Hotel itself is a brand new property in terms of a lifecycle of a hotel. Further additions in terms of amenities and construction are being done to the hotel. All furniture/bath fittings in the room are absolutely brand new and well finished
b) Stay : Stay is absolutely comfortable. It won't make u feel that you are far away from all amenities you are used to. Given that hotel is located at a remote location, the stay experience will NOT give you such a feel. They have central AC, which will make your room more than comfortable. They have all major amenities like iron table, iron , umbrella, tea/coffee maker.
Since the property is new, at times they do have issues with provision of 24/7 hot water. However the issue was immediately resolved.
c) Food: Everything was delicious and some dishes were lip smacking. Having such a great food in lachung was a gift in itself.
d) Staff : The staff is extremely courteous and well mannered. Hotel manager goes out of way to help you with anything. However, the hotel is strikingly understaffed as per my opinion. However since not many rooms were booked on the day we stayed, everything was managed absolutely smoothly. We faced no issues.
e) Views from the hotel : The balcony Rooms facing the mountains provide great views. I've posted pics of the same
f) Suggestions to the hotel management:
The hotel certainly has the potential to be one of the best hotels at an elevation greater than 2000 mtrs however as on date (as on Mar 2022), the hotel is certainly overpriced and understaffed by all standards.
FINAL NOTE - I will absolutely LOVE to...
Read moreI stayed at this place last week. In one word I'd say it's horrible. Some people might have decent experiences but I'll not hesitate to share mine. It was awful, horrid and traumatizing.
The staff of this whole group is useless. Here are my experiences:
We called them to check about central heating they told yes it's after we called the central team requesting them provide us central heating they told "yes, we have but it doesn't work"
We called them to enquire about elevator "they told yes it's there and indeed it was there - but it wasn't working too". The team is extremely rude. All they want is advance from you.
Their geyser didn't work either, pathetic service and for food they charged us 3k and provided 5 chapati with a curry and dal. In breakfast they gave us our leftover food.
The man at the front desk thinks he owns Lahung, he is extremely cocky and was shouting when I put my concerns forward. He wasn't helpful at all. All they want is money from you. It's the most pathetic place I've ever stayed in.
The owner who took advance refused to even answer our calls when we seeked help.
They're just a bunch of goons running this property and when I told the front office guy that ill drop a review about my experiences, he didn't hesitate to raise his voice and threaten.
If you're ever planning to visit lachung, sleep in car or freeze in the cold but just don't stay here . DON'T STAY HERE EVEN IF THEY PAY YOU TOO. The rooms are pathetic, they're unhygienic and dirty.
They don't respect tourists, they don't respect their livelihood, never ever make the mistake to give them any...
Read moreThis hotel is luxurious, lavish and extremely hygienic. At check-in we were greeted by a receptionist who handed us the keys. The room was in general well-kept. Extra bed, towels and toiletries were provided on-demand. However, as soon as we stepped into the room, we were greeted with an electric blackout. What is not expected by guests at such an expensive hotel is that you have timings for the generator! Guests are paying so much money! The least we could expect is 24/7 generator backup! The intercom ceased to work, so we had to approach the reception who refused to switch on the generator even at 6 PM, which was an hour after which it was supposed to be switched on. Finally, power was restored by the generator, after we demanded it. However, hot water took time. At the restaurant, we were told that we were the only guests in the hotel for the next couple of days hence, the buffet was not available. The food at both breakfast and dinner was amazing however, the breakfast service was rather slow. The restaurant was soothing to look at with an all-white interior. Day one was full of problems. However, the second day went flawlessly with exceptional service. We ended our stay with a picture at the panoramic views offered at the premises and outside...
