This resort is ideal for staycation. The only drawback is it is far away from the beaches and sightseeing places. However, if you want to just relax in a sprawling resort with lot of activities then this is a best place. If you need to go sightseeing you can rely on taxi union outside the resort. The resort is at a minimum an hour drive from beaches.

This resort has several restaurants and bars serving ala carte and buffet. The resort has a Happy hub for kids, a play area, a walking trail, lazy river, 5 swimming pools for various ages, a Spa, a Gym and an Adventure park.

Room:

The studio rooms have a TV, a queen size bed, sofa cum bed, coffee table, cupboard, Safe locker for valuables, two chairs, a kiddie chair, a small dining table, AC, Microwave oven, tea/coffee maker and a mini Fridge. The rooms have a balcony with a clothes drying stand. They have a provision of Purified drinking water directly in the room. So, you can carry an empty bottle to fill it up whenever you need. They have complementary tea/coffee sachets for making instant cups. There is crockery provided in case you go for in-room dining. The bathrooms are equipped with regular accessories like a hair dryer, shower gel, fresh towels and handwash. There is a provision of hot water and a shower. However, you can request housekeeping for a bucket and a mug if needed for kids.

Food:

There is a "Curries Restaurant" near reception which serves buffet. There is a "Spice restaurant" situated below curries restaurant that serves ala carte. There is a "Plunge pool side bar" serving drinks and snacks. There is "Unwind lounge" near the Reception that sells cakes and drinks. You will also have an option of "In-room Gourmet Express" dining. The prices for in-room dining are on higher side but members do get some discount. We found the best option is to go for all 3 meal package for 3 days in "Curries restaurant" which actually works out to be very reasonable when compared to other options. The trick is to eat healthy and indulge only in few things. See 'My booking' section under your Club Mahindra app to prebook your meals in case you are a member. This meal package also provides "High tea" every evening and a special all course dinner curated by a chef on the last day of your package which you can discuss and modify as required. This special dinner was the highlight of our whole trip.

Special Thanks to Chef Dungar Singh who helped us to curate our special dinner. He was very accomodative and gave excellent suggestions. Every course was a highlight of its own. But the chicken tikka was out of the world. It was very soft, juicy and rightly spiced. Overall, this is a dinner experience that we won't forget anytime soon.

Water activities:

There are overall 5 pools for various age groups. It's recommended to carry your own swimwear from home. However, you can still buy from a Swimwear shop beside Plunge bar if you want. If you select all meals package for 3 days you will be given free access to lazy river for all people in the room which otherwise is chargeable.

Happy Hub:

There is a Happy hub with lot of activities for children. They have some package options as well. You can also opt for a electric bike tours from here. There are some entertainment programs in the evening like DJ night.

Spa and Gym:

There is a Spa and Gym in same building below the Plunge bar. You may explore.

Walking trail and adventure park:

There is a walking trail around the resort that runs for a few kms. Some places along the trail have good views along the Assonora river. At the end of the walking trail, there is an adventure park.

Overall, a highly recommended property if you are looking for a staycation. However, if staying close to the beach is your primary requirement then choose...

During our recent stay at Club Mahindra Assonora, we were welcomed by the grandeur of one of the largest lobbies we have encountered, boasting exquisite interior design. The warm reception, coupled with a refreshing offering of kokum sarbat, set a positive tone for our visit. Our accommodations were spacious and impeccably clean, providing a comfortable retreat. The well-maintained pool, diligently overseen by attentive staff, further enhanced our experience.

However, our satisfaction was tempered by certain aspects. While we willingly committed to the membership fee and an annual maintenance charge of approximately 20k, additional charges for various activities, including the Lazy River at 300 plus taxes, raised concerns. As loyal members, we expected a more inclusive approach to these amenities, as the imposition of extra fees contradicts the purpose of the annual maintenance charge.

Regrettably, we encountered a less-than-ideal experience with the restaurant staff. The discourteous behavior of Muskan and Veshna at the buffet reception left much to be desired. Veshna, in particular, exhibited an unhelpful and rude demeanor at the counter. The overall lack of enthusiasm among the buffet staff was noticeable, although the chefs distinguished themselves with their politeness and professionalism.

Despite these shortcomings, the resort itself is a delightful haven. An outstanding highlight was a captivating dance performance by Niraz during breakfast, leaving a lasting impression of excellence.

Our ultimate reason for awarding a 5-star rating lies in the exceptional service provided by the Happy Hub team. The staff at Happy Hub, including the outstanding Mr. Niraz, went above and beyond to ensure our holiday was not only enjoyable but truly remarkable. The dedication and energy displayed by Shivam, Shruti, and Mihir were instrumental in creating a cooperative and pleasant atmosphere. The events organized by Happy Hub were a highlight of our stay, contributing significantly to the overall excellence of our visit.

In conclusion, while there were areas that require improvement, the Happy Hub staff's exemplary service significantly elevated our experience. We extend our gratitude to the Happy Hub team and recommend Club Mahindra Assonora, urging future visitors to engage with this exceptional aspect of the resort for an enriched stay. Thank you for the memorable moments.

The property is spread over a large area. Excellent landscaping done. The pool area is also large with multiple pools and water fountains and slides. This is a great place to just chill out and relax and laze around. However that is where the good points end. The problem starts with the service. To be clear I'm comparing this with other Club Mahindra resorts. And this one fell awesome short of our expectations. Problems started even before we reached there. No one would answer the phone numbers of the resort. We were trying to see the best way to reach there and communicate our arrival timings but no one would pick up our calls. The check in time was the longest ever in spite of reaching there an hour after the check in time. Tired of waiting, we had to go and find the room ourselves. The luggage took another hour to reach our room. Looks like they are awfully short on staff. There was no one who bothered to tell us about the resort. Some "manager" did call up the next day but he was least interested in hearing our grievances. Done of the lights in our room were not working. The auto cut off for the electricity was not working when we left the room. In spite of pointing this out, no one bothered to do anything to fix it for 4 days that we were there. The food was another big let down for us. Being a vegan, I'm used to challenges everywhere but wherever we have gone before, the chef has always been considerate and taken care to offer us reasonable options. Here, what was disappointing was the unwillingness to adjust their menu even slightly to accommodate our needs. They used to bluntly refuse. The chef didn't have much clue about vegan dishes in spite of "vegan" being marked against a few items in the menu. The resort is located in a very small town and there are no good food options outside and so we were stuck with the limited choices available. There are taxis just outside the resort from where you can book tours for North or South Goa or arrange for pick up and drop to stations or airport. This was the first time we actually cut short our stay and left a day earlier than was...

We checked in on 31st jan and checked out on 3rd feb. Rooms were nice. We went to the pool while the house keeping came to clean the room. We came back to the room around 6pm. There was a baby snake (7-9inches) in our room. I have pictures and videos of the same. I took out my daughter and parents out of the room. Called house keeping, reception and what all options were mentioned on the phone. But no one came to check. After 10-15 minutes my father and I rushed to the reception. Security came after that. We had to quickly vacate the room. No staff helped to gather luggage. We asked for laundry bags to pack our stuff to shift to another room. They said 1 is allowed and gave us garbage bags to collect our stuff. They donโ€™t have a protocol if there is a snake on the room. But they have a protocol for laundry bags. The entire process took 3 hours. All they offered was a complimentary dinner. No manager or anyone came to check if everyone was fine. They reacted as if this is a regular and normal thing in the hotel- to encounter snakes in the rooms. Itโ€™s so far that we could not even think of vacating in the evening. The staff acted very casually. Hopeless behaviour. They have time to revert to every good review. They have still not acknowledged this issue even once. Nice resort. Bad location. Good restaurant staff. Hopeless on call- reception, housekeeping etc.
