We went with the family to Dudhsagar Spa Resort to unwind and refresh just before the rains (May end). This must be our 4th or 5th stay at this place. And have to say it was the worst experience ever! Where do I begin? We booked two tents (as we had a great time there in our previous visits). However, what we saw was shocking. The pathway to the tents was non-existent. The exteriors are filthy and rundown. I could film a horror movie in those tents - so decrepit and ill-maintained they are. Inside the tents were even worse. The management in a bid to double profits has converted single tents into two rooms with a flimsy partition. So flimsy that if a couple are at it in one room, the other room would have to vacate or be treated to interesting sound effects! Jokes aside, the tents are no longer livable. Even online sites like MakeMyTrip do not carry the tents in their inventory. What were they thinking? The tents used to be luxurious. Not any more. So we promptly changed to the normal cottages that had roofs covered with tarp to prevent leakage. Can't the management afford waterproofing? Inside, the cupboard had shelves that were broken and falling apart. We kept out clothes in our bags. This lack of maintenance is seen across the entire property. The only saving grace is nature - which the management has got free. It's called the Dudhsagar Spa Resort, but the spa and yoga centre is not functional. Roofing and doors are coming off. It's one more location for a horror movie shoot! The adventure activity course looked like a war zone where nature is taking back what was taken from her. The pool is rusted and decayed with fungus, and the pool side area is also not maintained with no sitting arrangements whatsoever. Finally, the restaurant had to take the cake with extremely poor fare. We ordered chicken chilly (one of the only things on the menu) and found a bowl full of chopped onions with a few namesake pieces of chicken. Breakfast and lunch were no better. Even a plain omlette for breakfast took over 30mins. And a plain cheese sandwich came with a layer of mayonnaise! Can't say we enjoyed even a single meal at the restaurant, which seems to cater more to highway travellers making pitstops. The property is beautiful and full of potential. I would have loved to rate it highly, but there's nothing the management is doing to deserve any rating. It's owned by the Goa Tourism department and leased to the management which also runs Baywatch in Colva. With the government highlighting ecotourism and nature tourism to draw tourists away from the overcrowded beaches, it's about time the Goa Tourism department takes back the lease and hands it over to a management that actually wants to run the place.

This resort is on the way to Belgaum if the route is taken via Ponda. Very beautifully nested in nature. Lots of activity spots open as per the tourists in the resort/season and off season. Spa is within the premises though I did not explore it but the staff says itโ€™s open during the peaks of tourist season. Pool as well is within the premises and is not very clean but itโ€™s kind find for a swim and a dip. Dogs/ cows/ducks/cats/birds roam and fly around freely are regularly fed by the staff. All of these animals are very friendly and do let you pat them. Rooms with double beds, fan,AC,TV and western toilet bathroom are very comfy. Huts also available at reasonable rates. The double bed accommodates 2+1 (upto a toddler age). The restaurant serves beer and other hard drinks. Food is average, nothing very speacial. Fish, chicken and veg is served. All the staff members are very friendly and cooperative. Parking is gated and is close to the cottages plus the premises is guarded. Tip: do not dry or leave footwear outside the cottages/huts as the dogs and their pups are very mischievous ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚. The doodhsagar waterfalls track is close from kulem village which is around 8kms from here. The truck is for Four hrs entirely. And transport to the waterfall by jeeps strictly no tracking by foot. The stay time at the water fall is roughly an hr and prices vary as per season and or with and without Luigi jacket. Prices start from Rs 600/- and exceed as per the faculty offered. A must go trip, once in a lifetime view. Good to visit from June to Dec after which the water starts drying out due to summers. Pssst...!! ๐ŸคซIn Goa is summer all the time plan ur travel and places to visit here accordingly. Feel free to ask!!๐Ÿค—๐Ÿ˜Š

Me and my husband were visiting Goa and decided to stop two nights at Dudhsagar Spa Resort. As a spa resort, we expected facilities to reflect its name, such as a nice spa area, pool etc. There was none of this and the pool had swimming insects in it. When we arrived at the hotel, we were given a tent room despite paying for the deluxe options. The room itself was large and picturesque but there was no cleanliness at all. We then swapped to a normal room which was much smaller. There was no cleanliness in this room either. In both rooms, there were lots of stains and holes in bed sheets. In one room, the pillow looked like it had been used to clean dirt up. I had to clean the dust, cobwebs, dirty tissues and bathrooms myself. On checkout, we were given a bill double what it should have come to and then told it was an โ€œerrorโ€. The manager, Shadab and assistant, Gaurish were not helpful and I found Gaurish to be quite smug. They insisted on taking more money from us to pay the kitchen staff despite them being shocked at how much we paid for the rooms by online booking. They were unapologetic despite agreeing that the standard of rooms was not okay. They even told us we should never have been placed in one of those rooms in the first place. This is not a 4* resort as online reviews may suggest. I highly recommend all to avoid this hotel. Dudhsagar is beautiful but can be seen by day trip - donโ€™t waste your time or money.

We had booked 2 rooms out here for a day...wanted to extend but decided to cut short due to below reasons: ||||Lets talk on food: average food...eatable..dont order chinese its oily..if you are late be prepared to eat cold food on a buffe Rating 2.5 out of 5. The guys out there will.not even bother to ask you...was left with some bones of chicken to eat due to late arrival and cold food.||||Room: was just above average. Tea kettle was there , tea cups were there but no tea sachets/sugar.(so why keep the tea cups) Was told tea cups is for drinking water. There were no glasses kept had to exchange it personally at the reception..i asked them later on to give me another glass..was told that they dont have, but was given some coca cola (brand)glass...the entire property maybe was occupied by just 2to 3 families( counting us).visited this property on 24th april 2021||Rating : 2.8 out of 5.|||| tents were very below average , flooring was bad. Could see some discolouration and fungus type ... told them to give room , had a tough time closing the bathroom door..even the lock system of the main door needed repair...overall 2.5 out of 5 rating for room...just 1 socket given in a room. AC was old and with some noise but kept us cold in summer..that was good.||I feel the place requires good maintenance..room wqs clean...some switches are old. But works. What i liked was the hot water even at 12 midnight. That was welcoming.||||Place: its location is on the roadside...but you cant hear the traffic..that was good...if only the owners were interested in the upkeep of the property. What i liked in the property was the duck..staff interaction was good..these guys cant do much anyway.||||||Cheated: felt cheated as i wanted to relax with ayurveda massage/spa...but was told that this is closed because of goa government order, which was actually a lie. AS I WAS carrying a government circular that only swimming pool has to be closed..and spa /massage needs to be operated with 50% staff...I even showed them the circular..they should have informed on their website...we had to cut short our visit. Just wanted to get back home.||||It makes life easier when informed the " have and have nots" while booking...||||Verdict: average place..location just near the goa border with karnataka...||||I feel the property requires a makeover and maintenance...the lighting needs to be improved specially if you want to visit the restaurant from room to the restaurant...partly its ok but aftersometime its dark..we had to use our mobile lights...||||Because of limitation i would give this property 2.5...

I have a long list regarding the things that need improvement. Security - Persons can enter the resort through restaurants, there is no check. Maintenance - The paths are broken in parts and not maintained properly. The room, bed sheet, cots were stinking smelly and moist. Considering 3 or 4-star property, placing a towel instead of a mat on the main door was disappointing. No doors in bathroom and toilet. Really had a bad experience. A lot of mosquitos in the room. It seemed like the room was open after a long time. Even after intimating the management before reaching the resort, no effort was made to make our stay comfortable. Power cuts were scary. Bad food - Boiled eggs were stale and had black spots. Garlic naan had too much garlic and that too raw. Dishes were overpriced as compared to quality and quantity. Overpriced taxi service. It seems like the hotel was taking advantage of people like us coming by public transport or one-way taxi. The distance from Mollem to kulem is just 6.5 Kms. However, taking a hotel vehicle could cost us whooping 800 Rs to and fro. That seems to be totally worthless. The management did not suggest any other alternatives to reach Kulem. We ourselves figured out the way by a local bus easily available just 500 meters from the resort every half an hour. The comfortable journey was just a 15 min ride for 10 Rs per person. The cost for airport drop by the resort was again a whopping 3500 Rs one way. If you want to travel to nearby places like Tambdi Surla (16 Kms drive), it will cost you again 2000 Rs more. The problem was that the management was not ready to suggest any alternatives. It felt like we were stuck and there was no option other than taking resort facilities even when alternatives are present. Ultimately we left for airport by our own. The management should seriously look into these points. And rather than justifying, there should...
