I had removed my review but I think it will be wrong and unfair to me and my friends who traveled 1100kms to this place with so much trust in them after our first visit just six months before.
We had done direct booking with them and it was agreed that payment will be done in cash and hotel will give food vouchers worth of total GST.
Why did I give one star? We requested them to reduce stay to one night from three night 8-9 days before check-in but they didn't confirm the cancellation and we got stuck as we had paid non refundable advance When we checked in we requested property manager to give us top floor rooms and he denied by saying that rooms are occupied but during our stay we were the only guest in that entire property. They didn't have chef available and yet they tried to experiment on us. Manager told us that we can order anything from menu but whatever we ordered were nothing close to food. When we complained about it, manager wasn't ready to accept that food was not good. We ordered aaloo paratha and they took two hours to deliver and that too one cm thick aata roti without aaloo. Aavacado sandwich worth ₹290 had no avacado in it, upma was suji slurry. After all this they didn't have audacity to say sorry instead manager was telling us that you must be going to Taj or Oberoi that's why you didn't like food. I had to tell him that the food he prepared was not even roadside thela level. Attitude of management towards customer problems was biggest downside. They cod have managed all trouble we got as we were the only guests. We got to understand that they are just there to squeeze money out of you.

Read moreThis has been long overdue and something i have been meaning to pen down for a while. My experience at fig house was marred with deceit and elitist attitude of the owner of this property. We had booked a room as my friend and his now wife from out of India were staying there in the month of December 2022. I had initially booked the room via Agoda , with full payment to the property via them. In a few days I got a call from the property itself saying they weren’t going to honour the booking via agoda as they had problems. This was unusual as I had already paid them but they insisted I cancel the booking from Agoda , and book via them directly which was turning out to be more expensive than the amount I had paid. They were willing to push their issues with Agoda onto the customer. When I spoke with Agoda , they told me that this property is notorious for such claims as they want to get a higher price for the rooms than advertised. And that they cannot dishonour the booming via Agoda as they are legally liable. In any case , being put in a corner , I decided to go with what fig house said , as I had to deal with them if I was staying there. Hence I cancelled the booking and booked via them directly under the promise of being given the same price for the rooms. To my surprise , once there , they decided to charge me extra. On contesting this with the owner , he decided to go back on his word and when things got sour , he decided to use language such as “ let me educate you on what you don’t know “, an obnoxious , petty and unbecoming of a host , in our culture. Read moreIt's happened with a couple of my friends in 2 months now.. I'm so relieved I backed out of my stay with them while I could. They're bloody cheats- recently, a friend of mine booked with them directly. Upon reaching the premises, he was quoted a figure for 5 days, with a catch. All payment was expected in cash.
After making the payment, he received a call the next day from the manager, Mr. Travis to say that "they forgot to include the first day's tariff in the quotation" and asked for an additional 10k as a result.
At the time of checkout, when the same was brought to the notice of the owner, Mr Bhanu as feedback, he brushed it off by saying human errors are bound to happen and shifted the blame on my friend, saying that the guest should have raised it sooner. FORTUNATELY, THE GUEST RECORDED EVERYTHING ON HIS PHONE, because their management has a knack for going back on their word. We'll be sharing the recording on social media now with all the screenshots of their conversation to try and ensure they don't get away with something like this with anybody else.
The rooms were not cleaned once in the 5 days that he was there, apart from the fact that this scam show that they run by insisting on cash payments- whatever you do, do NOT go here. PLEASE DONT GO BY THEIR FAKE REVIEWS- they literally badger people to get their ratings which is why their reviews are misleading as hell.
Sometimes, money is not the concern- one really looks out for a good experience. Something you most definitely cannot expect here.
