Awesome location because you don't always want to be close to the beach even though you are in a beach destination. This property is in the middle of a village. How many hostels in India have a swimming pool indoors? Very few. So that was another plus. The staff was courteous. However, not all that customer centric. Had to look around for staff members and go all the way to the reception area for placing food and drink orders. There was also latency in getting the orders even though there were a good number of staff members available. Food quality was okay. Nothing to brag about. The most important aspect that got negatives is the dorm room hygiene. I understand that people that stay in the dorms come from all parts of the world. However, they need to unsure that the dorms are cleaned every day including the washrooms abd beds. A little bit of disciplinary advice and short notes everywhere in the property can help them improve the hygiene level in their dorms. I stayed in a four bed dorm room and was given a decently comfortable bed, an okay bed sheet and an okay pillow. They should provide bath linen for the money paid or atleast a breakfast included. Overall, a 2.5 out of 5...
Β Β Β Read moreWe went to Shivam as a groupβexcellent maintenance and very neat and clean. The swimming pool will be an added advantage for our trip. Every day they will clean the swimming pool as I have seen personally. Staff will be very friendly to us and the location is very close to nature. We have prepared our own food in the family room with the kitchen. The restaurant is also there with drinks. The cost will be reasonable. The tea we have taken ..cost 30rs per tea. Best place for North Goa and I donβt prefer it if u want to explore South Goa. Itβs less than 15-20s far from Baga Clangute and Anjuna beachesβ¦. Aguada fort and old monk chai tooβ¦. If are staying Shivam then you plan your own vehicle or rental bikes or (at a cost) not preferable for Ola or Uber. It is best to rent a bike and explore. If you are a family or couples or group then you book a cottage or room with ac or a family room will be the best optionβ¦.And Overall The trip was excellent. The staff was very kind. The rooms are kept clean. It's a tranquil place to stay. Food and beverages are offered at fair prices. The overall experience was quite pleasant. I'm grateful. Book through...
Β Β Β Read moreWe stayed at Mandrem, and although itβs a bit far from the city, we really enjoyed the stay. The property has a wonderful infinity pool, right beside the crops, giving it a very natural and refreshing vibe. Both the rooms we booked were pool-facing, and the morning views were simply awesome. The ride to and from Arambol Beach (around 10β12 km away) was also fun and scenic.
The pool was definitely the highlight β clean, cool, and beautifully maintained. The rooms were okay, not bad, but there was a slight odor; a room spray or freshener would have helped. We were a group of 9 people, and the manager, Shivam, was very helpful in arranging kitchen equipment for us, which we really appreciated.
One drawback was that our rooms were on the 4th floor and there was no lift, which made it a little inconvenient.
This stay is not for someone who wants to be right by the beach and enjoy the happening vibe. Instead, itβs perfect for those who love nature, calmness, and a peaceful atmosphere away from the city buzz.
Overall, it was a natural and relaxing stay, and the amazing pool with beautiful views made it...
