Unforgettable Honeymoon Experience with Casual Monks!

We had the most amazing honeymoon experience with Casual Monks in Hampta, Manali. From the moment we arrived, the team ensured everything was seamless, making our stay incredibly special.

The snow camping was truly magical—nestled in the serene wilderness, surrounded by towering trees and the soothing sounds of nature. The campsite was well-maintained, and the hospitality was top-notch. Nights under the stars by the bonfire made it even more special.

The highlight of our trip was the trekking experience, guided by Ankur and Satru. They were knowledgeable, patient, and made sure we felt safe and comfortable throughout the journey. Their stories and energy made the trek even more fun, and the breathtaking views of snow-capped peaks, rivers, and untouched landscapes were worth every step.

A special mention to Bhupi, who cooked some of the most delicious meals we had during our stay. Despite being in the middle of the forest, he prepared mouth watering and incredibly tasty food that added to the warmth of the experience.

And of course, we can’t forget Simba, the adorable and friendly dog who stayed with us! He was always around, adding to the homely and cozy feel of the place. Whether it was following us on treks or just lounging around the campsite, he made our stay even more special.

We also had the pleasure of sharing this adventure with amazing travel companions, which made the journey even more memorable. The entire experience felt like an escape from the usual touristy chaos—peaceful, raw, and deeply connected with nature.

From the moment the mountain air hits your face, you know you just want to get lost here.🥰🏔️ I booked on Airbnb for 2 days, and ended up staying close to 3 weeks in September. The other guests, 3 lovable mountain boys, had come for 2 weeks, and ended up staying for 2 months. 😂 That's the kind of effect the mountains have on this place.

Watch the snow clouds dancing over the mountains all day long and soak up the sun if you're feeling lazy and immobile OR be a mountain monkey and explore the trails, falls, forests, around. 🌳 I loved that the place was away from the crowds in Manali and in the mountains.

Sumeet and Vijay, the master-minds/monks behind this place are just the most chilled out fellas. Sumeet ran the cafe during our stay there and doubled up as master chef as well.. his food is just.. 😌🤌 he also treated us to some speciality dishes and ensured we got to try some goodies and treats from old manali..

The duo are excellent mountaineers who organises tours, treks and hikes from casual monk, so if you're a mountain goat like us, make sure to arrange an experience with them. ⛰️🧗‍♀️

Don't forget to play with Daisy and Go-Go, the resident doggies here. Daisy is usually a real-G and goes off on her daily business like she doesn't care, while Go-Go is a canine Bob Marley. 😎🐶 So you get the best of both worlds. You'll also likely find tiny Mo-Mo, the dog version of the roadrunner from the hostel below who harassers Daisy and Go-Go on a daily basis 😂
