I recently stayed at Hotel Manali Dreams for 3 nights, and while my experience was not the best, it was average overall. The hotel has its pros and cons that I'd like to highlight.
Let's start with the positives. The hotel staff was very cooperative and attentive. They were responsive to my complaints, particularly regarding the food quality. Initially, the food for the first two days was below par, but after raising my concerns, the quality improved slightly on the third day. While it wasn't outstanding, it was better than the previous days. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, and the room service was efficient. I appreciated the timely reminders for breakfast and dinner, ensuring that I didn't miss my meals.
However, there were several drawbacks. The hotel's location is quite far from Mall Road in Manali, making it inconvenient for evening outings as there is no transport available after 7 PM. This isolation results in a very quiet atmosphere at night, which may not suit everyone's preference. Another issue was the inconsistency of hot water supply. Hot water was available only in the morning and daytime; at night, there was no hot water in the bathroom taps, which was inconvenient.
The breakfast provided was disappointing, with little variety and almost the same items served every day. Also there is not good restaurants near by specially veg restaurant.
In summary, Hotel Manali Dreams has potential but falls short in several areas. While the staff's hospitality was commendable and the room was comfortable, the issues with food quality, location, hot water supply, and breakfast variety detracted from the overall experience. If you prefer a quiet stay away from the hustle and bustle of Manali's main areas and are willing to compromise on certain amenities, this hotel might suit your needs. However, based on my experience, I would suggest exploring other options for a more satisfying...
Read moreWorst hotel I have stayed in my life travelling around India. The staff are very careless and for a single thing you will have to remind them 6-7 times. We were in their family suite - probably the most expensive room in the hotel. The room smelled really bad and we constantly asked them to spray some room freshener at least. I have called the reception at least 5 times before they took any action. The next night while we were sleeping, a spider bit my sister. How can a hotel not be taking care of their cleanliness in their family suite??? It's really disappointing. Also while coming from the restaurant to my room one night after dinner, I was shocked to hear a senior staff instructing the junior staff to provide used towels to one of the boarders. The good part was the big bathroom and the 24x7 hot water availability in the family suite and an electric kettle was available. The food was nice, not very spicy- good for people who like to eat light. The location is nice, just in front of the main road. Overall...
