Kasol Magic Valley Camp — Hotel in Great Himalayan Range

We had an awful experience staying at this camp/hotel, and we deeply regret booking it. The service was very bad – staff were unhelpful and seemed uninterested in assisting guests. Our camp had no lock for security, which felt unsafe. To make matters worse, there was a terrible smell near our camp due to an open sewage system just 5-10 meters away – absolutely disgusting!

The food was below average, at best, and didn’t meet basic expectations for camp meals. As for hot water, it was available only for 20-30 minutes in morning time, which was extremely inconvenient. To reach the camp, you need to trek downhill for 500 meters, which isn’t ideal, especially if you're carrying heavy luggage ( On call they will give fake promises to carry luggage ). And once you’re there, there are no nearby places to explore around the camp, so you’re stuck with very limited options.

We truly made a huge mistake choosing this camp and would strongly advise others to avoid it at all costs. Save yourself the frustration and find somewhere...

Overall, it was a wonderful experience. The place is absolutely beautiful. It was my first time visiting, and I was truly very happy. I loved everything about it and didn’t even feel like leaving — that’s how stunning it is. The food was delicious, and the owner was extremely kind and welcoming. We also had the chance to meet his wife, and she was equally warm and friendly. We became quite comfortable and friendly with them during our stay.

As I mentioned, it was a girls' trip, and we had an amazing time. The place felt completely safe, and the staff was very kind and respectful — everyone was genuinely nice. We truly enjoyed every moment and are already missing the memories we made there.
