Meraki Kalga — Hotel in Great Himalayan Range

Meraki was an amazing experience that made me extend my Kalga stay by 2 days (mentally I didn’t leave the place almost 10 more days :D). A truly home stay experience with delicious home cooked meals, hygienic and comfy interiors, and a wonderful host who makes your stay warm and memorable. From the outside, the home stay is quite easy to locate and has beautiful surroundings reminiscent of a cabin in the woods. Meraki is a home away from home. Hidden behind all the noise and away from the eyes of tourists, this beautiful mud house has a stunning view of lush green pine forests and every day you get to wake up to bright sunrise, chirping of birds, view of snow peaks and the best lemon tea in the whole of kalgha!

Annie the host is so warm and funny, your trip is bound to be fun if she’s around. And did I mention the food 🤌, it’s sooo homely and tasty abhi bhi paani aagya soch ke.

Had such an amazing time , I was only planning on staying for a few days but ended up staying for two weeks , I fell in love with the Homestay cafe, the food was so delicious all of it was freshly made everyday!
