Pathetic! I would give half a star, of I could. My father booked so called tree house and a vintage cottage for 7 of us. Very crowded parking. Check in was ok. We were given wrist bands to wear. This resort is sold as eco tourism destination but the backside of the sticker for wrist band was thrown on the ground by the resort staff! A smelly stream flowing giving smell into the tree house through the AC. Huge rush of daily users due to 1st January which didn't give us any peace on the resort. Food was third class with restaurant looked worst than the marriage halls of 1990s. There was group of school boys and girls visiting the place. Lots of noise. Most of the area was occupied by then. Some even knocked on my parent's room just check if there was anyone inside. I saw group of boys opening the empty rooms for fun. This is not how a professional resort is managed especially when you are charging 9k for te house and 6k for other room. Lunch was useless. Utensils and overall ambience is third class. Wonder what, if any hygiene is followed by the Staff. We are visiting my parents from the UK and thought we will have dinner good time with them here but the whole day was ruined. There is no mobile reception in the park apart from jio. No use of you are not using jio and someone wants to contact you. No way to contact the staff except walking to the reception. Zero service. No wifi. We had to return back to Vadodara even though we had booked one night stay. So much noise by other visitors even at 5pm. No privacy, no peaceful stay. Wrappers, plastic and other rubbish left by visitors all over the place. What kind of eco tourism this resort provides, Good knows. One more thing. The resort doesn't accept card payment. Either cash or bank transfer. As there is no mobile reception, you don't receive any OTP for online transaction. Please avoid this resort at any cost of you are looking for a quality, poriveshonay managed resort. In my opinion the owner of this resort Shall only market this for day traveler groups. When we arrived, the watchman seemed to be in drunken state. He told me that in the evening they will allow the car to be parked inside even though he had already seen that we were in a taxi. The driver later triple is that he was not allowed in as it was a taxi, driver was also not allowed to stay and rest at the resort. This is a common practice to provide food and resting place to the drivers on any other resort. This is another big negative point for us. Summarise the long review: AVOID THIS RESORT...
Read moreOur recent corporate trip to Caravan Serai Resort turned out to be an absolute disaster. On the 16th of March, we encountered a series of unfortunate events that left us thoroughly disappointed with the quality of service and the overall experience.
The most disturbing event occurred at the resort's restaurant. While we were eating our evening snacks, one of my friends unintentionally sat on a plastic chair, which quickly collapsed beneath him. Fortunately, he got uninjured but what followed was completely inappropriate. Instead of acknowledging the obvious damage of their furniture, management had the nerve to accuse us of intentionally damaging the chair for entertainment. This false claim was not only offensive, but also demonstrated a lack of accountability and professionalism.
It is worth noticing that all of the chairs in the restaurant were in poor condition, with traces of wear and tear indicating years of neglect. Had it not been my friend, but someone overweight or weak, the implications could have been disastrous. Despite our request to check the CCTV tape for clarification, management refused and proceeded to charge us for damages. This obvious disregard for client happiness is completely unacceptable.
Moreover, our dissatisfaction extended beyond this isolated incident. The quality and taste of the food were subpar, failing to meet even the most basic expectations. The swimming pool was unclean and uninviting, raising serious concerns about hygiene and safety. Additionally, several safety belts were found to be broken, posing a significant risk to anyone attempting to use them.
As individuals representing one of the most reputable organizations in Baroda, with over five years of corporate experience, the suggestion that we would intentionally cause damage is not only absurd but deeply offensive. It's evident that Caravan Serai Resort lacks the necessary upkeep and competent staff to ensure a pleasant and safe environment for its guests.
In conclusion, I strongly advise anyone considering a visit to Caravan Serai Resort to look elsewhere. The dilapidated facilities, poor management, and overall lack of regard for customer well-being make it a destination to avoid at all costs. Our experience was nothing short of a nightmare, and we have no intention of...
