Please dont go on the pictures and reviews to book this resort. for the price its too expensive as there is no service.
The location of the resort is good with trees and greenry all around. The resort is nicely build with spacious rooms. But thats it. Its not maintained.
Food: The veg food was good but they dont serve non veg, not even egg. We were not told this at the time of booking. If you want to have something in evening etc they will say they dont have anything and can only have bread thats very bad.
Service: The service is non existent. The room service, restaurant will never pick up phone. You will have to find someone and go to kitchen to order and that to they will send after several reminder. They dont clean rooms or lobby. The linen, pillow etc were all having stains and looked dirty. ex my daughter spilled some tea just outside our room but even after our repeated request it was not cleaned in 3 days. I didnt see anyone cleaning floors of the resort. They have unprofessional staff. We had to ask many times before our room was cleaned but that too was not done properly. The bathrooms are stinking and not maintained. The pots are dirty. Also you will have to ask many times to refill water and they will refill it with angry faces.
Hygiene: It is non existent. I never saw them sanitizing the resort once. There is no temperature check at entry and exit. No one from resort wears masks. There are no sanitizers placed.
Activities: None. The carrom board is damaged, The table tennis table is damaged, Only chess is there. They dont conduct evening dance of Siddhi tribes as other resort do. The Bonfire is done after dinner at 10:30 PM. Basically they are running resort jut for the sake.
One cannot fell the warmth of hospitality there. The receptionist doesnt have any knowledge and if you ask something it will draw a blank.
We were very disappointed with our stay. They charged Rs.7500 per day, instead send some more and stay in other resort like Taj gateway to truly enjoy your holiday.
They have dogs in the compound and all the staff and owner is busy whole day feeding and caring for the dogs. I hope they do same thing with guests also. Most of the five star...
Read moreMy recent stay at Gir Lion Paw Resort in Sasan Gir was, to put it mildly, a deeply disappointing experience. Booking this establishment felt like a significant misstep, especially considering its price point which bafflingly rivals that of actual three-star resorts in the area. Let's start with the basics. The room itself felt like it hadn't seen a proper cleaning in ages. Dust was a prominent feature, and the overall cleanliness was subpar. Forget about any semblance of room service; requests were either ignored or met with blatant indifference. This lack of hospitality extended beyond just room service, with staff interactions feeling unwelcoming and unhelpful. The "amenities" were equally disheartening. The swimming pool, advertised as a feature, was frankly dirty and uninviting. It looked like it hadn't been properly maintained in quite some time. Furthermore, a significant drawback was the complete lack of parking facilities. This added unnecessary stress and inconvenience to the stay. To top it all off, the cost of this one-star experience was exorbitant. When compared to the rates of nearby three-star resorts offering significantly better facilities, cleanliness, and service, Gir Lion Paw resort falls drastically short. In conclusion: Avoid Gir Lion Paw Resort at all costs. You will find far better value and a much more pleasant stay elsewhere in Sasan Gir. This hotel is overpriced, unclean, and offers abysmal service. My recommendation is to look at other options before even considering this one. You'll thank...
Read moreWe recently visited Gir Lion's Paw. The place is good, the ambience is good and the rooms are spacious and beds are comfortable. Lunch, breakfast and Dinner everything was so tasty. Good place to spend your weekend. A stroll in the Mango street during the season will be a mesmerizing experience. The variety of birds were an attraction. There were swings at all places to sit and chit chat with your group, which was our main attraction. The staff was very helping.
Only thing that stops me from giving it a 5 star is that they provide 2 water bottles per room and any bottles above that are chargeable. Paying for that is fine but they did not specify this when we were ordering water. And afterall water is a basic necessity, so I don't think it should be chargeable. But even if you charge for this you should specify clearly that all bottles above the 2 would be chargeable. Second thing is we had to ask for towels, they weren't already in the room. We booked two rooms. There was hot water kettle in one room and not in ours and we had been provided Jug and two glasses which were not in our other room. So such small basic things need to be taken care of either by the management or the helpers who have been assigned the duty. Also, in the terms and conditions they specified that welcome drink would be provided on arrival, which wasn't provided.
But overall the...
