Hotel Milestone — Hotel in Gujarat

We were on a driving trip to Gujarat from Jaipur in December 2014. Our plan for that day was to stay on the outskirts of Ahmedabad so as to do an early morning trip to Modhera and Patan the next day. However, luck (well, she's always there isnt she), had other plans. We got off to a horrendous start from Jaipur due to fog so thick on the Kishangarh highway (NH8) that we barely made it to Sidhpur by the sunset and a few kilometers before the main city itself stands this hotel - Milestone. It was frankly, a very pleasant surprise given the level of grime that abounds in the town and areas around it due to industrial pollution. The rooms are clean, the baths are cleaner and the waiter in the downstairs restaurants was able to explain to us the myths behind local temples and few further away. Staff is very polite and nice enough to actually tell us we shouldnt stay a second night but instead continue to drive south after covering modhera and patan (we did stay a second night though). The location doesnt work too well if you dont have your own car but if you're looking to visit Sidhpur (haveli facades) and do a trip to Modhera and Patan, this is an excellent and very cheap alternative to staying in Ahmedabad. Very Good Ambience. Very good hotel on Ahmedabad- Palanpur Highways. This very good hotel for stay and theor restaurant is also very good. We went here for dinner with friend the food is very tasty and good. This place has big garden and party plot for functios like marriage reception or other party arrangements can Aldo be done. Rooms are well maintained and good for stay. They accept order for marriage reception and other programs like gathering. Very limited option for food and mostly Punjabi food is served and it also good. This place is very near to Sidhpur city which very famous for its religious and other hindu rituals. This city has maany historic places and 5 shivaling of Mahadev temple which are know as svayambhu shivling. Bindu sarovar is also famous place near to this hotel which is famous for matru shradh. I am just coming back from here after having lunch with my foreign guest. There is a staff here whose name is Sanjay, he cames to my guest and starts shouting at the sitting passengers. That I am not allowed you eat inside the AC hall whether you want to eat or not,,We were about to order what we wanted to eat after looking at the menu but Sanjay comes and behaves rudely. Whether manager or a staff working at a restaurant, this language does not teach them how to behave with the passengers in this manner. If anyone wants to avoid this kind of behavior then there are other good and well organized restaurants on this road too.
