Sarovar Portico Sasan Gir — Hotel in Gujarat

Worst hotel of my life.... I have never faced such kind of behaviour of reception and staff... There is not negetive review... One star is for just food.... Otherwise that also should not be given.... Who has hired such staff... And all are liers.... Also so miserable persons... I stayed at junagadh and they provide mineral water bottle without any charge... And here... In phone they are asking sir mineral ya normal... mineral water is chargeable... If you demand 2 shampoo bottle, they provide one... Even after talking full money... Garden and swimming pool closes as 6pm...means if you are coming from tour to relax, you can't chill out at swimming pool... No tribal dance or extra activities... Even they swich off the lights at night in garden and swimming pool area, so that you can not use their facilities... And what excuses they give... Sir lion coming to swimming pool area, so we are not swiching on lights at night.... What is this rubbish answers.... I seen that on opposite side, there is THE FERN hotel, i heard voice of local tribe dance and activities... Means nonsense answers... We stayed there on sunday, at night, we are riding bycycle... One they put for guest if guest want, but what we see... They taken away bycycle... Also of child... When asked, they told us.... This is of our MD sir, and previously, one guest broken bycycle and it is reside at corner.... We asked whether bycycle for guest or not... They told us, this is of our MD sir, but currently they puted it for guest, but receiption told to put it back in store room, what is this behaviour... Even you can't entertain with such silly things... At night they told me, tomorrow morning swimming pool will be open at 7am, then i asked in morning, they told me swimming pool will be open at 8am...when i gone at swimming pool, cleaning guy told me, swimming pool will be open at 9am, what is this behaviour, even you don't know when will your swimming pool open... And they told me they will call to my room at 9am but no any call from reception.... What a service... Pathetic.... One more hight.... This three star hotel have wifi in just lounge are.... 😂😂😂... One of the biggest joke.... They alloted me room at 3rd floor, in sasan, there is too much network issue, so i asked, for wifi... They told me wifi only in lounge area and not in my room or my floor.... This one is height... Even in today's world, 2 star hotels providing wifi for free... But this hotel made a height of nonsense.... Also i i want to go to tour at 10....swimming pool should be ready but till 10 no any information about pool... I strictly suggest, don't go in such hotel...who don't care for their guests... And even not a small amount of time flexible for their guest.... Made a huge mistake by selecting such...

I booked a suite for two nights here in January 2024. There is welcome drink pitcher and water bottles at reception area, self service. Room is spacious, but I'll maintained, bathtubs are dirty, some of the room light are not functional, curtains are broken, I fixed one of their curtain myself when it nearly fell on my child. No hair dryer in room/bathroom. Height of tap at washbasin ensures water spillage on the one using the basin. Very little information is provided by the reception staff about the activities, even after asking they said they have no activity as event manager is on leave. At night 10:00 pm they are playing loud music on dhol. With safari in morning it's a bad choice for the night stay. Food is average, pricing is as per three star hotel. Another issue I faced was overbilling in order. Two bowl of cereal and tea ordered and they served one tea and one bowl of cereal but charged for two in bill. I signed it without checking in detail, since it was already signed by me so they said they'll adjust in later at checkout which they didn't. They acknowledged there was a issue but neither regretfull or ready to resolve the matter. I felt it's better to pay and leave early rather than wasting time with crooks. Swimming pool area, good and clean water with big pool. Kids pool is also there. Location is close to safari area, which is the reason to book the place. I have stayed in sarovar hotel in rajkot, somnath, and gir. Gir is just bad experience. Rajkot sarovar was excellent in hospitality. This hotel is just opposite Fern and I regret I didn't book my room there. Fern Diu was very good, but I have no idea about Fern Gir rooms. After the bad experience with sarovar portico. I had all my meals at fern. Excellent staff at fern...

THE STAFF IS NOT PROPER TRAINED , MISGUIDED MANY TIMES

FOOD WAS NOT UPTO THE MARK OF 3 STAR OR 4STAR CATEGORY

RESTAURANT SERVICE IS VERY POOR, EVERY ORDER TAKES 15 TO 20 MIN.. THERE IS NO CORDINATION BETWEEN ORDER TAKING STAFF AND SHEF ... MANY TIMES ORDER SERVED WRONG...

AREA IS NEAR FOREST WHERE SUFARI RUNS AS EXPEXTION ASKED ABOUT SANDWITCH PACKING EARLY MORNING IN THAT ALSO FIRST THEY DENIED LATER THEY AGREED AND GIVEN... BUT STILL YOU HAVE TO ASK... WHERE AS IN MANY HOTELS THEY PROVIDE EASILY...

SUIT ROOM ALSO NEED MANY MODIFICATION... IN THE BEDROOM YOU CANNOT DIRECTLY KEEP YOUR HEAD BACK ... PILLOWS ARE VERY VERY SMALL AND STAFF CANNOT PROVIDE THE EXTRA PILLOW

JUST KEEP IN MIND WHILE BOOKING YOU HAVE TO REMIND MANY TIMES FOR SMALL SMALL THINGS

After reviewing from GM of the Hotel...

adding small point... I have paid the amount which asked by the Hotel for Suit... and with food... if the hotel cannt serve the food proper and in time any guest will be angry... and if hotel GM things that they have not received enough amount for the room they can think before allotment where i have paid approx 27k for 2 days...

and if GM is thinking like that then oblivious staff will do the same... where for dinner the staff served all food in cold manner... after multiple issues... and Dear GM Sir i please take a review of your staff rather than you speaking about me or my stay...
