Kaara - Gurgaon — Hotel in Gurugram District

My brother recently got married at this venue on 19th April, and I feel responsible to warn future clients: please think twice before booking here.

Initially, we were very impressed by Mrs. Diya Singh (our point of contact for venue discussions and tasting). She was extremely sweet and accommodating - but only until we made the booking. After that, the support and professionalism completely disappeared.

Here are the major issues we faced: Alcohol License Scam: We initially discussed a 2-day alcohol license, but later decided we needed it only for one day. Mrs. Diya Singh and Mr. Pawan (from accounts) insisted they had already applied for a 2-day license and charged us ₹30,000. However, even after repeated follow-ups - including a month before the wedding - they failed to produce the license. Instead, they showed random receipts to stall us. On the wedding day, we realized the ugly truth: they had never applied for the license at all. It was a complete lie, a classic case of gaslighting and thug-like behavior. Horrendous Hospitality: Guests staying at the property could not even get basic services like a bottle of water delivered to their rooms. They had to call room service multiple times, only to be told to come downstairs to collect it themselves. Absolutely shameful and unacceptable. Poor Air Conditioning: During our cocktail event at the banquet hall, the air conditioning was extremely poor. Despite multiple requests to adjust the temperature, the staff kept blaming the photographer’s lights - another excuse to avoid fixing the real issue. Unhygienic Washrooms: Diya had personally assured us multiple times that the common washrooms would be well maintained. The reality was that they were dirty, stinking, and completely unhygienic throughout our functions.

In short: • Staff was rude, disinterested, and dismissive. • The venue was highly mismanaged. • Basic hospitality standards were missing.

Names worth mentioning for their unprofessional behavior: Mrs. Diya Singh and Mr. Pawan (Accounts).

If the management and staff continue running the place this way, it’s only a matter of time before it shuts down. Frankly, I believe the entire staff should consider resigning, because under current leadership, this property’s future is doomed.
