Hotel Riya Palace — Hotel in Haldwani

On the night of May 25th, my family and I were looking for a hotel to crash at before heading home to Delhi the next morning. We called Hotel Riya Palace at Haldwani to confirm availability and pricing before booking online. They assured us that they had two AC Deluxe rooms ready. Trusting them, we booked through Goibibo, at ₹3572 for two rooms.

But when we got there, the rooms were suffocating, and the ACs in both rooms were completely useless. We notified the manager, who brushed us off, saying it would cool down soon. Twenty minutes later, it was only getting worse. Despite our repeated complaints, the manager arrogantly told us to wait. After endless requests and heated arguments, he finally agreed to switch our rooms. Yet, the same thing happened in every room they moved us to none of the ACs worked, and in two rooms, the ACs didn't even turn on….

We were beyond frustrated, exhausted from driving all day, and desperate for some rest before our long drive to Delhi. To make matters worse, they didn't even have chilled water or a refrigerator. They expected us to endure the heat with temperatures around 40°C.

After an hour of this nonsense, we decided enough was enough. We demanded a refund, as we hadn't received any service and had been running around in circles. The staff flat-out refused, directing us to contact Goibibo. Their behavior was absolutely pathetic and disgusting, with the manager showing zero professionalism or courtesy. We walked out within an hour of checking in, without using any of their so-called "services."

I was having the membership card of this hotel where at the time of membership taken they committed that this card is valid for a year and get discount as per coupen. After getting membership, when I visit Riya Palace to use this, they suddenly said that all the membership card is not allowed. Now we are feeling cheated by the Riya Palace hotel.
